Sâmbătă, 4 ianuarie 2025 – Isaia 48:1-22

Capitolul 48 este ultimul din secțiunea 40-48, numită ,,secțiunea mângâierii.” În această secțiune Dumnezeu vorbește evreilor captivi în Babilon, promițându-le eliberarea: ,,Din pricina Numelui Meu sunt îndelung răbdător, pentru slava Mea Mă opresc față de tine, ca să nu te nimicesc… Ieșiți din Babilon, fugiți din mijlocul haldeenilor! Vestiți, trâmbițați cu glas de veselie, dați de știre până la capătul pământului, spuneți: ‘Domnul a răscumpărat pe robul Său Iacov!” (vers. 9, 20)

Isaia 48 se întoarce cu profeții bune spre Israel și Iuda și lucrează biruința lor motivat de El Însuși. Deși nemerituoși, evreii prizonieri în Babilon au fost scăpați de Dumnezeu din robie: ,,Din dragoste pentru Mine, din dragoste pentru Mine vreau să lucrez! Căci cum ar putea fi hulit Numele Meu? Nu voi da altuia slava Mea. Ascultă-Mă, Iacove! Și tu, Israele, pe care te-am chemat! Eu, Eu sunt Cel dintâi și tot Eu sunt și Cel din urmă. Mâna Mea a întemeiat pământul și dreapta Mea a întins cerurile: cum le-am chemat, s-au și înfățișat îndată.” (vers. 11-13)

Dumnezeu îi cheamă pe oamenii din Iuda: ,,Strângeți-vă cu toții și ascultați! …Apropiați-vă de Mine și ascultați!” (vers. 14a, 16a)

Dumnezeu ne cere să-L ascultăm pentru a intra în posesia adevărului. Adevărul ne face liberi. Auzirea Cuvântului produce credință și activează credința: ,,Astfel, credința vine în urma auzirii, iar auzirea vine prin Cuvântul lui Hristos.” (Romani 10:17)

Mântuirea este organizată, realizată și aplicată de Dumnezeu. Mântuirea este inițiativa lui Dumnezeu. Ea este soluția divină pentru păcat, prin iertare, și pentru moarte, prin înviere. Această veste auzită, ascultată, primită și trăită îl duce pe omul păcătos în împărăția lui Dumnezeu.

Să ne rugăm lui Dumnezeu pentru ca puterea Cuvântului Său să miște inima noastră și să lumineze conștiința noastră. Cuvântul Său este adevărul (Ioan 17:17). O minte curățită este sfântă și închinată Domnului.

Saturday, January 4, 2025 – Isaiah 48:1-22

Chapter 48 is the last in the 40-48 section, known as the “section of comfort.” In this section, God speaks to the Jewish captives in Babylon, promising their release: “For My name’s sake I delay my wrath; for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you, so as not to destroy you completely… Leave Babylon, flee from the Babylonians! Announce this with shouts of joy and proclaim it. Send it out to the ends of the earth; say, 'The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob!'” (vv. 9, 20)

Isaiah 48 turns with good prophecies toward Israel and Judah and works their victory motivated by Himself. Though undeserving, the Jewish prisoners in Babylon were delivered by God from captivity: “For My own sake, for My own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another. Listen to Me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I am He; I am the first, and I am the last. My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and My right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together.” (vv. 11-13)

God calls the people of Judah: “Come together, all of you, and listen! …Come near Me and listen!” (vv. 14a, 16a)

God asks us to listen to Him to take hold of the truth. The truth sets us free. Hearing the Word produces faith and activates faith: “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” (Romans 10:17)

Salvation is organized, realized, and applied by God. Salvation is God's initiative. It is the divine solution for sin, through forgiveness, and for death, through resurrection. This message, heard, listened to, received, and lived, brings the sinful man into the Kingdom of God.

Let us pray to God that the power of His Word will move our hearts and enlighten our consciences. His Word is the truth (John 17:17). A purified mind is holy and devoted to the Lord.
