Luni, 31 martie 2025, Ezechiel 10:1-22

Capitolul 10 continuă să prezinte viziunea pedepsirii Ierusalimului, descriind retragerea slavei lui Dumnezeu din Templu. Această descriere este una dintre cele mai triste scene din Biblie. Din cauza păcatului evreilor, Dumnezeu Își retrage slava. Templul a rămas, dar slava a plecat… Ce să faci cu un Templu în care nu mai este prezența slava lui Dumnezeu? Este pământul plin de temple, însă goale de slava lui Dumnezeu.

Capitolul 10 poate fi împărțit în câteva secțiuni:

1.     Cărbuni aprinși aruncați peste cetate (vers. 1-2): „Şi Domnul a zis omului aceluia îmbrăcat în haine de in: „Vâră-te între roțile de sub heruvimi, umple-ți mâinile cu cărbunii aprinși care sunt între heruvimi și împrăștie-i peste cetate!” Și el s-a vârât între roți sub ochii mei” (vers. 2). Cărbunii aprinși luați dintre heruvimi și aruncați peste cetate simbolizează judecata.

2.     Heruvimii și roțile (vers. 3-8): „Heruvimii stăteau în partea dreaptă a casei, când s-a suit omul acela; și norul a umplut curtea dinăuntru.” (vers. 3) Heruvimii sunt ființe cerești care poartă slava lui Dumnezeu.

3.     Gloria lui Dumnezeu se retrage din Templu (vers. 9-22): „Slava Domnului a plecat de pe pragul casei și s-a așezat pe heruvimi. Heruvimii și-au întins aripile și s-au ridicat de la pământ sub ochii mei…” (vers. 18-19)

Templul este centrul închinării poporului evreu, însă fără prezența lui Dumnezeu a rămas o simplă clădire de cult. Constatăm că Dumnezeu nu tolerează păcatul la nesfârșit și că slava Sa nu rămâne într-un loc unde oamenii trăiesc în păcat, dar rămâne acolo unde oamenii renunță la păcat.

Să ne rugăm, să ne mărturisim și să părăsim păcatul.

Monday, March 31, 2025 – Ezekiel 10:1–22

Chapter 10 continues the vision of Jerusalem’s punishment, describing the departure of God’s glory from the Temple. This is one of the saddest scenes in the Bible. Because of the sin of the Jews, God withdraws His glory. The Temple remained, but the glory departed… What use is a Temple if the presence of the glory of God is no longer there? The earth is full of temples, yet empty of God’s glory.

Chapter 10 can be divided into several sections:

1. Burning coals scattered over the city (vv. 1–2):
   “And the Lord said to the man clothed in linen, ‘Go in among the wheels beneath the cherubim. Fill your hands with burning coals from among the cherubim and scatter them over the city.’ And as I watched, he went in.” (v. 2)
   The burning coals taken from among the cherubim and thrown over the city symbolize judgment.
2. The cherubim and the wheels (vv. 3–8):
   “Now the cherubim were standing on the south side of the temple when the man went in, and a cloud filled the inner court.” (v. 3)
   The cherubim are heavenly beings who bear the glory of God.
3. God’s glory departs from the Temple (vv. 9–22):
   “Then the glory of the Lord departed from over the threshold of the temple and stopped above the cherubim. While I watched, the cherubim spread their wings and rose from the ground…” (vv. 18–19)
   The Temple is the center of worship for the Jewish people, but without the presence of God, it becomes just another religious building. We see that God does not tolerate sin indefinitely and that His glory does not remain in a place where people live in sin — but it does remain where people turn away from sin.

Let us pray, confess, and abandon sin.
