Sâmbătă, 1 martie 2025, Ieremia 37:1-21

Capitolele 37-39 prezintă căderea Ierusalimului sub asediul armatei babiloniene.

Ieremia era în închisoare, iar armata lui Nebucadnețar asediase orașul de aproximativ un an și jumătate. El a fost acuzat că descurajează poporul, favorizându-i pe babilonieni, prin urmare, căpeteniile Ierusalimului l-au aruncat în temniță pe profet.

Versetul 2 din capitolul 37 este unul dintre cele mai dramatice din cartea Ieremia: „Dar nici el (regele Zedechia), nici slujitorii lui, nici poporul din țară n-au ascultat cuvintele pe care le-a rostit Domnul prin prorocul Ieremia.” (vers. 2)

De la cel mai mare până la cel mai mic, nimeni nu a vrut să asculte de Dumnezeu. Oamenii vor pace și liniște în timp ce se luptă cu Dumnezeu!

Să ne rugăm pentru ascultare de Dumnezeu și pentru un duh smerit.

Saturday, March 1, 2025 – Jeremiah 37:1-21

Chapters 37-39 present the fall of Jerusalem under the siege of the Babylonian army.

Jeremiah was in prison, and Nebuchadnezzar’s army had besieged the city for about a year and a half. He was accused of discouraging the people and favoring the Babylonians; therefore, the leaders of Jerusalem threw the prophet into prison.

Verse 2 of chapter 37 is one of the most dramatic in the book of Jeremiah:
“But neither he (King Zedekiah) nor his attendants nor the people of the land paid any attention to the words the Lord had spoken through the prophet Jeremiah.” (v. 2)

From the greatest to the least, no one wanted to listen to God. People desire peace and tranquility while they are fighting against God!

Let us pray for obedience to God and for a humble spirit.
