Marți, 9 mai 2023, Numeri 10:1-36 – Trâmbițele din argint

Pentru aproximativ 14 luni, evreii au avut tabăra la Muntele Sinai (Exodul 19:1; Numeri 10:11). Aici au primit legile – Legea morală, ceremonială și civilă. Dumnezeu le-a poruncit să ridice tabăra și să plece spre nord, în direcția Țării promise. Fiind un grup de aproximativ două milioane de oameni, au avut nevoie de un sistem de comunicare care să fie auzit de toți. Pentru rezolvarea acestei probleme, Dumnezeu a poruncit lui Moise să confecționeze două trompete din argint. Responsabilitatea de a suna din trompete era a fiilor lui Aaron. Când sunau ambele trompete poporul se strângea la ușa Cortului Întâlnirii. Când suna doar o trompetă, doar căpeteniile semințiilor se strângeau la ușa Cortului. Când norul s-a ridicat, poporul a plecat de la Sinai spre pustiul Paran. Prima parte a călătoriei a durat trei zile.

Este dimineață și vom mulțumi lui Dumnezeu pentru o nouă zi. Apoi ne vom ruga Domnului să primim înțelepciunea de a călători cu Dumnezeu. Să nu rămânem în urmă, dar nici să nu o luăm înainte. Unde Se oprește Dumnezeu, să ne oprim și noi; când pornește Dumnezeu, să pornim și noi.

Tuesday, May 9, 2023, Numbers 10:1-36 – The Silver Trumpets

For about 14 months, the Israelites camped at Mount Sinai (Exodus 19:1; Numbers 10:11). Here they received the laws – the moral, ceremonial, and civil laws. God commanded them to break camp and head north towards the Promised Land. Being a group of about two million people, they needed a communication system that could be heard by everyone. To solve this problem, God commanded Moses to make two silver trumpets. The responsibility to sound the trumpets was given to the sons of Aaron. When both trumpets were sounded, the people gathered at the entrance to the Tabernacle. When only one trumpet was sounded, only the tribal leaders gathered at the entrance. When the cloud lifted, the people left Sinai and headed towards the wilderness of Paran. The first leg of the journey lasted three days.

It is morning, and we will thank God for a new day. Then we will pray to the Lord to give us the wisdom to travel with Him. Let us not lag behind but let us not go ahead either. Where God stops, let us stop, and when God moves, let us move too.
