Miercuri, 10 mai 2023, Numeri 11:1-35 – Răzvrătirea poporului

La sfârșitul călătoriei de trei zile poporul a cârtit, verbalizându-și nemulțumirea împotriva Domnului. Ei se plângeau că le merge rău. Dumnezeu S-a mâniat și mulți au murit arși de foc. Poporul s-a speriat și a numit locul acela Tabbera (ardere).

Odată cu evreii ieșiți din Egipt au ieșit și mulți egipteni, numiți în Scriptură ,,Adunătură de oameni”. Aceștia s-au plâns de mana care cădea din cer și au fost nemulțumiți că nu au carne să mănânce. Ei și-au amintit că în Egipt avea la discreție pești, castraveți, pepeni, praji, ceapă și usturoi.

Mânia Domnului s-a manifestat și peste ei, și a lovit marginile taberei (v. 1). Dumnezeu le-a dat prepelițe să mănânce pentru o lună de zile (v. 19-20). Moise a mijlocit pentru ei și a ales 70 de bătrâni pe care i-a adus la ușa Cortului. Domnul a luat din duhul care era peste Moise și l-a pus peste ei.

Fiind timpul rugăciunii vom mulțumi lui Dumnezeu pentru bunătate și iertare. Este de-a dreptul impresionant să vedem cât de bun este Dumnezeu. Apoi vom cere Domnului puterea de a accepta voia Sa în viața noastră. Să nu cârtim niciodată în fața încercărilor și necazurilor vieții. Să-I dăm deplină prioritate lui Dumnezeu și să alegem să ne placă voia Sa.

Wednesday, May 10, 2023: Numbers 11:1-35 – The Rebellion of the People

At the end of the three-day journey, the people complained and voiced their discontent against the Lord. They were complaining that things were going badly for them. God became angry and many died, burned by fire. The people were afraid and named the place Taberah (burning).

Along with the Israelites who left Egypt, many Egyptians also left, referred to in Scripture as the “mixed multitude.” They complained about the manna that fell from heaven and were dissatisfied that they had no meat to eat. They remembered having fish, cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic in Egypt.

The anger of the Lord was also manifested over them and struck the outskirts of the camp (v. 1). God gave them quail to eat for a month (v. 19-20). Moses interceded for them and chose 70 elders whom he brought to the door of the Tabernacle. The Lord took from the spirit that was upon Moses and put it on them.

As it is time for prayer, we will thank God for His goodness and forgiveness. It is truly impressive to see how good God is. Then we will ask the Lord for the strength to accept His will in our lives. Let us never complain in the face of the trials and troubles of life. Let us give full priority to God and choose to embrace His will.
