Sâmbătă, 7 ianuarie, 4:25-5:32 – Neprihănirea conduce la viață, indiferent de împrejurări

Urmările neascultării de Dumnezeu sunt amare. Drama primilor oameni a fost să piardă Edenul și prezența lui Dumnezeu. Pe deasupra, și-au pierdut și cei doi fii. Însă Dumnezeu nu Se ceartă fără încetare. În mila și harul Său există șansa restaurării. Prin mila lui Dumnezeu omul nu primește ce merită – pedeapsa. Prin harul Său, omul primește ce nu merită – restaurarea. ,,Tu asculți rugăciunea, de aceea toți oamenii vor veni la Tine” (Psalm 65:2).

Set, al treilea fiu al lui Adam și Eva, a fost o mare mângâiere și o mare speranță pentru părinții îndoliați. El a fost un om bun și liniștit. Cele mai adânci drame, dar și cele mai profunde bucurii sunt experimentate în familie. Vestea bună este că ce a stricat Cain a reparat Dumnezeu.

Întotdeauna Dumnezeu are o soluție pentru durerea noastră. Resursele Lui nu ajung niciodată la capăt. Inima frântă a mamei Eva a fost mângâiată de Dumnezeu: ,,Dumnezeu mi-a dat o altă sămânță în locul lui Abel pe care l-a ucis Cain” (Gen. 4:25). Semințele lui Dumnezeu nu se termină niciodată. Amintește-ți când ești înlăcrimat că Dumnezeu mai are o sămânță pusă de-o parte pentru tine. Set s-a căsătorit și a avut un fiu, pe Enos. Dumnezeu le-a dat un nepot bun lui Adam și Eva, care erau chinuiți de amintirea Edenului pierdut, dar și de vinovăția că generațiile care vor veni nu vor putea să vadă Edenul din cauza lor.

Cât de amar este păcatul și mai ales consecințele lui! Cât de măreață este dragostea și iertarea lui Dumnezeu! Nepotul Enos a făcut o trezire și o reformă spirituală. În vremea aceea ,,oamenii au început să cheme numele Domnului” (Gen. 4 :26). Mai este speranță atunci când oamenii cheamă numele Domnului.

În rugăciunea acestei dimineți să mulțumim pentru milă, har și restaurare. Apoi să chemăm numele Domnului, să-l chemăm din nou și din nou. Să ne învățăm copiii și nepoții să cheme numele Domnului. Acesta va fi lucrul care va rămâne. Va fi lucru care îl ține pe Dumnezeu în noi și în casele noastre, în biserica noastră. Să facem din chemarea numelui lui Dumnezeu prioritatea acestui an!

 Saturday, January 7: Genesis 4:25-5:32 – Righteousness Leads to Life Regardless of Circumstances

            The result of disobedience to God are bitter. The drama of the first people was that they lost Eden and the presence of God. On top of this, they lost their two sons. But God does not fight endlessly. In His mercy and grace there is the chance for restoration. By God’s mercy, man does not receive what he deserves, punishment. By His grace, man receives what he does not deserve, restoration. To you who answers prayer, to you all people will come (Psalm 65:2).

            Seth, Adam and Eve’s third son, was a great comfort to them and a great hope for the parents in mourning. He was a good and quiet man. The deepest dramas as well as the greatest joys are experienced in the family. The good news was that what Cain destroyed God repaired. God always has a solution for our pain. His resources are never-ending. Eve’s broken heart was comforted by God.  God has granted me another child in place of Abel since Cain killed him (Gen. 4:25). God’s seeds are never-ending. So, remember when you are teary-eyed that the Lord has a seed set aside for you. Seth marries and has a child, Enosh. God gave Adam and Eve a good grandchild, even though they were tormented by their memories of the lost Eden as well as the guilt that all future generations would never be able to see Eden because of them. Sin is so bitter, and even more so its consequences. How great is the love and forgiveness of God! The grandchild Enosh brought about an awakening and spiritual reformation. In that time, men began to call upon the name of the Lord (Gen. 4:26). There is still hope when people call upon the name of the Lord.

In this morning’s prayer, let us thank God for His mercy, grace and restoration. Then let us call upon the Lord’s name, let us call to Him again and again. Let us invite our children and grandchildren to call upon the Lord’s name. This will be the thing that remains. This will be what will keep the Lord in us and in our homes, in our church. Let us make calling upon the Lord’s name a priority this year!
