Pasajele din 2 Samuel 7 și 1 Regi menționează doar dorința regelui David de a construi Templul. În cartea Cronici, deși împăratul știa că Dumnezeu nu vrea ca el să construiască Templul, știa, de asemenea, că îi este permis să pregătească proiectul, planurile și materialele de construcție. De asemenea, David a ales cioplitorii în piatră, lucrătorii în fier și aramă, cuiele și scabele necesare.

David i-a cerut lui Solomon să respecte toate instrucțiunile și să păzească toată Legea Domnului.

Regele i-a arătat lui Solomon aurul și argintul pe care le-a adunat: 3.750 de tone de aur și 37.500 de tone de argint.

Este impresionantă măsura înaltă de responsabilitate și dedicare a lui David pentru colectarea materialelor de construcție a Templului. Atunci când Dumnezeu a spus despre el că este un om după inima Sa, s-a referit și la această consacrare deplină a lui David.

Să ne rugăm Domnului să ne dea o măsură îndoită de pasiune și să aducem mult rod pentru onoarea și slava numelui Său.

 Friday, December 29, 2023: 1 Chronicles 22:1-19 – David's Plans for Building the Temple

The passages in 2 Samuel 7 and 1 Kings mention only King David's desire to build the Temple. In the book of Chronicles, although the king knew that God did not want him to build the Temple, he also knew that he was allowed to prepare the design, plans, and building materials. Additionally, David selected the stonecutters, iron and bronze workers, nails, and the necessary scaffolding. David asked Solomon to follow all the instructions and to keep all the Law of the Lord. The king showed Solomon the gold and silver he had gathered: 3,750 tons of gold and 37,500 tons of silver.

David's high level of responsibility and dedication in collecting materials for the construction of the Temple is impressive. When God said of him that he was a man after His own heart, it also referred to David's full dedication.

Let us pray to the Lord to give us a double measure of passion to bear much fruit for the honor and glory of His name.
