Joi, 27 aprilie 2023, Leviticul 25:1-55 – Anul sabatic

Oamenii trebuiau să lucreze 6 zile și să odihnească în ziua de sabat, ziua a 7-a. Tot așa, oamenii trebuiau să lucreze pământul 6 ani și să lase pământul să ,,se odihnească” în anul al 7-lea. Beneficiul rezultat din ,,odihnirea pământului” era întârzierea salinizării pământului. Recolta care ieșea din pământul nesemănat în cel de-al 7-lea an era la discreția trecătorilor și a săracilor.

În felul acesta, fiecare al 50-lea an era marcat printr-o grațiere generală de datorii. Datorită acestei legi, terenurile nu erau vândute sau cumpărate pentru totdeauna și existau anumite căi prin care puteau fi răscumpărate. Aceeași regulă s-a aplicat și în cazul eliberării unui sclav pentru a se putea întoarce la pământul său.

Este interesant faptul că Dumnezeu a promis o recoltă mai mare în anul al 6-lea pentru a recompensa absența recoltei din anul al 7-lea. Cât de mare este grija și bunătatea lui Dumnezeu! Toate pe cheltuiala Lui! Noi suntem niște veșnici beneficiari! Binecuvântat să fie Domnul pentru bunătatea Sa!

Este dimineață și vom mulțumi Domnului pentru ziua eliberării, pentru legea întoarcerii acasă. Apoi ne vom ruga Domnului să nu ne legăm inima de pământ; dimpotrivă, să ne concentrăm pe cununa noastră cerească.

Thursday, April 27, 2023: Leviticus 25:1-55 – The Sabbath Year

People were supposed to work for 6 days and rest on the 7th day, the Sabbath day. Similarly, people were to work the land for 6 years and let the land “rest” in the 7th year. The benefit resulting from the “resting of the land” was the delay of the land’s salinization. The harvest that came from the unsown land in the 7th year was at the discretion of passer-by and the poor.

In this same way, every 50th year was marked by a general forgiveness of debts. Because of this law, lands were not sold or bought forever, and there were certain ways in which they could be redeemed. The same rule applied in the case of releasing a slave to return to his land.

It is interesting that God promised a greater harvest in the 6th year to make up for the absence of a harvest in the 7th year. How great is God’s care and kindness! All at His expense! We are eternal beneficiaries! Blessed be the Lord for His goodness!

It is morning once again, and we will thank the Lord for the day of freedom, for the law of returning home. Then we will pray to the Lord to help us not bind our hearts to the earth; on the contrary, to focus on our heavenly crown.
