Ultimul capitol din cartea Zaharia descrie glorioasa Zi a Domnului, care este o zi de judecată, restaurare și domnie universală, dar și de venire a unui Rege mesianic care va aduce pacea și va împărăți asupra tuturor națiunilor.
Capitolul 14 are câteva idei principale:

1.     Distrugerea Ierusalimului și intervenția lui Mesia care salvează rămășița (vers. 1–5)
„Atunci voi strânge toate neamurile la război împotriva Ierusalimului. Cetatea va fi luată, casele vor fi jefuite și femeile, batjocorite; jumătate din cetate va merge în robie, dar rămășița poporului nu va fi nimicită cu desăvârșire din cetate.” (vers. 2)

2.     Transformarea creației și domnia universală a lui Mesia (vers. 6–9)
„Și Domnul va fi împărat peste tot pământul. În ziua aceea, Domnul va fi singurul Domn și Numele Lui va fi singurul Nume.” (vers. 9)

3.     Restaurarea Ierusalimului și locuirea în siguranță (vers. 10–11)
„Ei vor locui în el și nu va mai fi niciun blestem în el; Ierusalimul va fi liniștit.” (vers. 11)

4.     Judecata asupra neamurilor potrivnice (vers. 12–15)
„Dar iată urgia cu care va lovi Domnul pe toate popoarele care vor lupta împotriva Ierusalimului. Le va putrezi carnea stând încă în picioare, le vor putrezi ochii în găurile lor și le va putrezi limba în gură.” (vers. 12)

5.     Închinarea universală și Sărbătoarea Corturilor (vers. 16–19)
„Toți cei ce vor mai rămâne din toate neamurile venite împotriva Ierusalimului se vor sui în fiecare an să se închine înaintea Împăratului, Domnul oștirilor, și să prăznuiască Sărbătoarea Corturilor.”

6.     Puritatea închinării este un semn al sfințirii (vers. 20–21)
„În ziua aceea, va sta scris până și pe zurgălăii cailor: ‘Sfinți Domnului!’ Și oalele din Casa Domnului vor fi ca potirele de jertfă înaintea altarului.” (vers. 20)

Când va veni Ziua Domnului, sfințenia și credința vor fi singurele lucruri necesare, care trebuie cultivate, pentru că este aproape.

The final chapter of the book of Zechariah describes the glorious Day of the Lord, which is a day of judgment, restoration, and universal reign—but also the coming of a Messianic King who will bring peace and rule over all nations.
Chapter 14 has several key ideas:

1.     The destruction of Jerusalem and the intervention of the Messiah who saves the remnant (vv. 1–5)
“I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.” (v. 2)

2.     The transformation of creation and the universal reign of the Messiah (vv. 6–9)
“The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.” (v. 9)

3.     The restoration of Jerusalem and dwelling in safety (vv. 10–11)
“It will be inhabited; never again will it be destroyed. Jerusalem will be secure.” (v. 11)

4.     Judgment on the hostile nations (vv. 12–15)
“This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.” (v. 12)

5.     Universal worship and the Festival of Tabernacles (vv. 16–19)
“Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.”

6.     Purity of worship is a sign of sanctification (vv. 20–21)
“On that day HOLY TO THE LORD will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the cooking pots in the Lord’s house will be like the sacred bowls in front of the altar.” (v. 20)

When the Day of the Lord comes, holiness and faith will be the only necessary things, which must be cultivated, for it is near.

Let us prepare every day for the Day of the Lord!
