Joi, 23 martie 2023, Exodul 29:1-46 – Sfințenia preoților

Consacrarea lui Aaron în slujba de Mare Preot a fost făcută de Moise. Această sărbătoare a presupus un ritual de șapte zile și în fiecare zi se aducea câte un vițel drept jertfă pentru păcat. Moise l-a întâlnit pe Aaron și pe fiii lui în curtea cortului, având cu el trei animale, azimi, turte și plăcinte nedospite. După spălarea ceremonială a preoților, Moise l-a îmbrăcat pe Aaron cu veșmintele de Mare Preot. Apoi l-a uns cu untdelemn pe cap și a sacrificat vițelul ca jertfă pentru păcat (v. 14). Apoi a adus un berbec ca ardere de tot (v. 18). După aceasta, a sacrificat încă un berbec și din sângele lui, Moise a pus sânge pe urechea dreaptă, pe degetul mare de la mâna dreaptă și pe degetul mare de la piciorul drept al lui Aaron. 

Această ceremonie era simbolul faptului că sunt curați și dedicați lui Dumnezeu. Apoi celelalte lucruri din coșul cu darul de mâncare erau legănate înaintea Domnului – legănate în față și în spate, adică între om și Dumnezeu. Totul avea legătură cu sfințenia, consacrarea și ascultarea.

Stăm în fața Domnului în această dimineață cu o jertfă de mulțumire pentru jertfa Domnului Isus. Apoi, privind la toate aceste jertfe, ne rugăm lui Dumnezeu să ne ajute să trăim în deplină curăție. Mintea, inima, relațiile – în toate lucrurile să fim pe deplin curați.

 Thursday, March 23, 2023: Exodus 29:1-46 – The Holiness of the Priests

Aaron’s consecration as the High Priest was done by Moses. This celebration involved a seven-day ritual, and each day a calf was brought as an offering for the atonement of sin. Moses met Aaron and his sons in the courtyard of the tent, bringing with him three animals, unleavened bread, cakes, and wafers. After the ceremonial washing of the priests, Moses dressed Aaron in the garments of the High Priest. Then he anointed his head with oil and sacrificed the calf as a sin offering (v.14). Next, he brought a ram as a burnt offering (v.18). After this, he sacrificed another ram and using its blood, Moses put blood on Aaron's right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

This ceremony was a symbol of their purity and dedication to God. Then the other things in the basket of the grain offering were waved before the Lord – waved in front and behind, that is, between man and God. Everything was related to holiness, consecration, and obedience.

We stand before the Lord this morning with a sacrifice of thanks for the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus. Then, looking at all these sacrifices, we pray to God to help us live in complete purity. Our minds, hearts, relationships – in all things, may we be completely clean.
