Psalmul 26 este un strigăt de încredere către Dumnezeu în vremuri de necaz. David face apel la judecata divină în care și-a pus toată încrederea.

Lucrul care atrage privirea cu ușurință este faptul că regele vorbește în mod explicit despre meritele lui înaintea lui Dumnezeu. Vom înțelege acest limbaj doar atunci când vom conștientiza faptul că Saul și oamenii lui îl urmăreau pe David ca să-l omoare.

Mai jos sunt 15 acțiuni pozitive ale lui David:

1.     „Umblu în nevinovăție” (vers. 1).

2.     „Mă încred în Domnul fără șovăire” (vers. 1).

3.     „Bunătatea Ta este înaintea ochilor mei” (vers. 3).

4.     „Umblu în adevărul Tău” (vers. 3).

5.     „Nu șed împreună cu oamenii mincinoși” (vers. 4).

6.     „Nu merg împreună cu oamenii vicleni” (vers. 4).

7.     „Urăsc adunarea celor ce fac răul” (vers. 5).

8.     „Nu stau împreună cu cei răi” (vers. 5).

9.     „Îmi spăl mâinile în nevinovăție” (vers. 6).

10.  „Izbucnesc în mulțumiri” (vers. 7).

11.  „Istorisesc toate minunile Tale” (vers. 7).

12.  „Eu iubesc locașul Casei Tale” (vers. 8).

13.  „Eu umblu în neprihănire” (vers. 11).

14.  „Piciorul meu stă pe calea cea dreaptă” (vers. 12).

15.  „Voi binecuvânta pe Domnul în adunări” (vers. 12).

Acestea sunt caracteristicile unui om care a ,,umblat în nevinovăție” (vers. 1). Un om va ajunge să fie și să facă ceea ce întreaga lui viață a încercat să fie și să facă. Acesta este David, ,,omul după inima lui Dumnezeu” (Faptele Apostolilor 13:22).

Fiecare om are la dispoziție o viață să trăiască în neprihănire cu ajutorul lui Dumnezeu sau, dimpotrivă, să trăiască în păcat, departe de Dumnezeu.

Să ne rugăm împreună să fi ajutați de Dumnezeu ,,să trăim pentru neprihănire” (1 Petru 2:24).

Psalm 26 is a cry of trust in God in times of trouble. David appeals to divine judgment in which he has placed all his trust.

What easily catches the eye is the fact that the king speaks explicitly about his merits before God. We will understand this language only when we realize that Saul and his men were chasing David to kill him. Below are 15 of David’s positive attributes:

1.     “I have led a blameless life” (v. 1).

2.     “I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered” (v. 1).

3.     “I have always been mindful of your unfailing love” (v. 3).

4.     “I have lived in reliance on your faithfulness” (v. 3).

5.     “I do not sit with the deceitful” (v. 4).

6.     “Nor do I associate with hypocrites” (v. 4).

7.     “I abhor the assembly of evildoers” (v. 5).

8.     “I refuse to sit with the wicked” (v. 5).

9.     “I wash my hands in innocence” (v. 6).

10.  “And go about your altar, Lord” (v. 6).

11.  “Proclaiming aloud your praise” (v. 7).

12.  “And telling of all your wonderful deeds” (v. 7).

13.  “Lord, I love the house where you live” (v. 8).

14.  “I lead a blameless life” (v. 11).

15.  “My feet stand on level ground” (v. 12).

16.  “In the great congregation I will praise the Lord” (v. 12).

These are the characteristics of a man who has “led a blameless life” (v. 1). A person will become and do what they have spent their entire life trying to be and do. This is David, “a man after God's own heart” (Acts 13:22).

Everyone has a lifetime to live in righteousness with God's help or, conversely, to live in sin, far from God.

Let us pray together for God’s help “to live for righteousness” (1 Peter 2:24).
