Duminică, 23 iulie 2023, Iosua 15:1-63 – Ținutul seminției lui Iuda

Seminția lui Iuda fiind cea mai mare a fost prima care a primit moștenire în Canaan. În binecuvântarea dată de Iacov lui Iuda se menționa că va fi înconjurat de dușmani (Geneza 49:8-9). Ținutul repartizat lui Iuda a fost înconjurat de dușmani: Moabiții în est, Edomiții în sud, Amaleciții în sud-vest și Filistenii în vest. Având conducători viteji, precum David, seminția lui Iuda și-a învins dușmanii.

Un alt aspect menționat de Iacov în rugăciunea de binecuvântare pentru Iuda a fost prezența viței de vie (Geneza 49:11-12). Cei 12 evrei care au iscodit țara au adus din Valea Escaol un strugure așa de mare, încât l-au agățat de un lemn pe care trebuiau să îl ducă doi oameni, unul de la un capăt, al doilea de la celălalt capăt.

Încă un lucru important este faptul că Mesia a venit din seminția lui Iuda. Acum era timpul biruinței și al bucuriei, acestea două fiind partea de moștenire a celor ce se tem de Dumnezeu.

Urmează să ne rugăm lui Dumnezeu, mulțumindu-I pentru că ne ajută să umblăm în faptele bune ale credinței. Apoi, vom cere Domnului discernământ și echilibru pentru a rămâne în fiecare zi credincioși, echilibrați și consecvenți.

Sunday, July 23, 2023: Joshua 15:1-63 – The Territory of the Tribe of Judah

As the largest, the tribe of Judah was the first to receive an inheritance in Canaan. In the blessing given by Jacob to Judah, it was mentioned that he would be surrounded by enemies (Genesis 49:8-9). The territory assigned to Judah was surrounded by enemies: the Moabites in the east, the Edomites in the south, the Amalekites in the southwest, and the Philistines in the west. It had brave leaders, like David, and so the tribe of Judah defeated its enemies.

Another aspect mentioned by Jacob in the prayer of blessing for Judah was the presence of the vine (Genesis 49:11-12). The twelve Hebrews who scouted the land brought from the Valley of Eshkol a cluster of grapes so large that it had to be hung on a wooden pole that had to be carried by two men, each on one end.

Another important thing is that the Messiah came from the tribe of Judah. Now was the time for victory and joy – these are part of the inheritance for those who fear the Lord.

We are about to pray to God, thanking Him for helping us walk in the good deeds of faith. Then, we will ask the Lord for discernment and balance to remain faithful, balanced, and consistent each day.
