Marți, 21 mai 2024, Psalm 24:1-10

În lumea noastră oamenii se luptă pentru drepturi și oportunități. În felul acesta, se nasc conflicte între oameni, familii, companii, chiar și între țări. Simțul de proprietate domină gândirea oamenilor – ,,acesta este al meu”, ,,acesta este al tău”.

În Psalmul 24, regele David vorbește despre suveranitatea lui Dumnezeu. El proclamă faptul că întreaga Creație este proprietatea lui Dumnezeu (vers. 1). Dreptul lui Dumnezeu de proprietar al creației vine din faptul că El a creat ,,tot ce se vede și ce nu se vede” (vers. 2).

Apoi, David precizează faptul că neprihănirea este criteriul de selecție pe care muritorii trebuie să-l îndeplinească pentru a intra în prezența lui Dumnezeu: ,,Cine va putea să se suie la muntele Domnului? Cine se va ridica până la Locul Lui cel Sfânt? Cel ce are mâinile nevinovate şi inima curată, cel ce nu-şi dedă sufletul la minciună şi nu jură ca să înşele. Acela va căpăta binecuvântarea Domnului, starea după voia Lui, dată de Dumnezeul mântuirii lui. Iată partea de moştenire a celor ce-L cheamă, a celor ce caută Faţa Ta, Dumnezeul lui Iacov.” (vers. 3-6)

În ultimele patru versete, David proclamă suveranitatea și domnia Dumnezeului Preaînalt: ,,Porţi, ridicaţi-vă capetele; ridicaţi-vă, porţi veşnice, ca să intre Împăratul slavei! „Cine este acest Împărat al slavei?” Domnul cel tare şi puternic, Domnul cel viteaz în lupte. Porţi, ridicaţi-vă capetele; ridicaţi-le, porţi veşnice, ca să intre Împăratul slavei! „Cine este acest Împărat al slavei?” Domnul oştirilor: El este Împăratul slavei!” (vers. 7-10)

Întreaga creație se închină înaintea Creatorului. Omul este singura ființă care s-a răzvrătit și și-a schimbat calea. Noi nu suntem dintre acești oameni. Dimpotrivă, noi am făcut din Dumnezeu, Domnul, Mântuitorul, Binecuvântătorul și Stăpânul veșnic al sufletelor noastre.

Urmează să ne rugăm o rugăciune de laudă, prin care Îi vom aduce Dumnezeului Preaînalt slavă, cinste, glorie și mărire. Aceasta este slava noastră: să recunoaștem slava Dumnezeului Creator!

In our world, people struggle for rights and opportunities. In this way, conflicts arise between individuals, families, companies, and even countries. The sense of ownership dominates people's thinking – “this is mine,” “this is yours.”

In Psalm 24, King David speaks about God's sovereignty. He proclaims that all of Creation belongs to God (v. 1). God's right as the owner of creation comes from the fact that He created “everything visible and invisible” (v. 2).

Then, David specifies that righteousness is the criterion mortals must meet to enter God's presence: “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.” (v. 3-6)

In the last four verses, David proclaims the sovereignty and reign of the Most High God: “Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty—he is the King of glory.” (v. 7-10)

All creation worships before the Creator. Man is the only being who has rebelled and changed his path. We are not among these people. On the contrary, we have made God the Lord, Savior, Blesser, and eternal Master of our souls.

We will now pray a prayer of praise, through which we will bring glory, honor, and praise to the Most High God. This is our glory: to acknowledge the glory of the Creator God!
