Luni, 20 mai 2024, Psalm 23:1-6

Psalmul 23 este unul dintre cele mai apreciate și iubite capitole din Biblie. El nu se concentrează pe teoretizarea credinței, ci pe practicarea acesteia. Nu se concentrează pe prezentarea problemelor vieții, ci pe aplicarea soluțiilor care ne conduc spre cer.

În psalmul 22 L-am văzut pe Păstorul care Și-a dat viața pentru oi, iar în psalmul 23 Îl vedem pe Păstorul care Își călăuzește oile spre casa Tatălui ceresc. David, păstorul-rege, s-a identificat cu metafora păstorului de oi, pentru că aceasta a fost ocupația tinereții lui.  

Psalmul 23 are un mesaj foarte puternic:

1.     Relație: ,,Domnul este Păstorul meu” (vers. 1).

2.     Hrănire: ,,El mă paște în pășuni verzi” (vers. 2).

3.     Călăuzire: ,,Mă povățuiește pe cărări drepte” (vers. 3).

4.     Încurajare: ,,Chiar dacă ar fi să umblu prin valea umbrei morții… Tu ești cu mine” (vers. 4).

5.     Împlinirea nevoilor: ,,Tu îmi întinzi masa în fața potrivnicilor” (vers. 5).

6.     Siguranță: ,,Fericirea și îndurarea mă vor însoți în toate zilele vieții mele” (vers. 6a).

7.     Mântuire: ,,…voi locui în Casa Domnului până la sfârșitul zilelor mele” (vers. 6b).

Exact așa cum un păstor își protejează oile atunci când trec prin locuri periculoase, tot așa și Dumnezeu veghează asupra noastră atunci când trecem prin necaz. Dumnezeu ne îndrumă și ne protejează. El nu ne va abandona niciodată!

În rugăciunea care urmează vom primi din nou asigurarea că Dumnezeu este cu noi în fiecare clipă – în necaz și în bucurie.

Monday, May 20, 2024 – Psalm 23:1-6

Psalm 23 is one of the most appreciated and loved chapters in the Bible. It does not focus on theorizing faith but on practicing it. It does not concentrate on presenting life's problems but on applying the solutions that lead us to heaven.

In Psalm 22, we saw the Shepherd who gave His life for the sheep, and in Psalm 23, we see the Shepherd who guides His sheep to the Father's house. David, the shepherd-king, identified with the metaphor of the shepherd because this was his occupation in his youth.

Psalm 23 has a very powerful message:

1.     Relationship: “The Lord is my Shepherd” (verse 1).

2.     Nourishment: “He makes me lie down in green pastures” (verse 2).

3.     Guidance: “He leads me in paths of righteousness” (verse 3).

4.     Encouragement: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death… You are with me” (verse 4).

5.     Fulfillment of needs: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies” (verse 5).

6.     Security: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life” (verse 6a).

7.     Salvation: “…I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (verse 6b).

Just as a shepherd protects his sheep when they pass through dangerous places, so God watches over us when we go through troubles. God guides and protects us. He will never abandon us!

In the following prayer, we will once again receive the assurance that God is with us at every moment – in trouble and in joy.
