Duminică, 19 mai 2024 – Psalm 22:1-31

Un loc special îl ocupă psalmii mesianici, care depășesc cu mult cadrul experiențelor și trăirilor regelui David. Descrierea din acest psalm se încadrează mai bine în execuția Mântuitorul Isus, decât în contextul problemelor de familie prin care a trecut David. În acest psalm sunt anticipate suferințele pe care le-a îndurat Mântuitorul între oameni și în timpul răstignirii pe cruce.

Psalmului 22 conține 33 de profeții mesianice, toate împlinindu-se în suferința și moartea Mântuitorului.

1. „Dumnezeule! Dumnezeule! Pentru ce m-ai părăsit?” (vers. 1) „Și pe la ceasul al nouălea, Isus a strigat cu glas tare: „Eli, Eli, Lama Sabactani?” adică: „Dumnezeul Meu, Dumnezeul Meu, pentru ce M-ai părăsit?” (Matei 27, 46)

2. „Eu sunt vierme, nu om; am ajuns de ocara oamenilor și disprețuit de popor. Toți cei ce mă văd își bat joc de mine, își deschid gura, dau din cap și zic: „S-a încrezut în Domnul! Să-l mântuiască Domnul, să-l izbăvească, fiindcă îl iubește!” (vers. 6-8)

3. „Mi-au străpuns mâinile și picioarele… Ei însă pândesc și mă privesc, își împart hainele mele între ei și trag la sorți pentru cămașa mea” (vers. 16-18). „Ostașii, după ce au răstignit pe Isus, I-au luat hainele și le-au făcut patru părți, câte o parte pentru fiecare ostaș. I-au luat și cămașa, care n-avea nicio cusătură, ci era dintr-o singură țesătură de sus până jos. Și au zis între ei: „Să n-o sfâșiem, ci să tragem la sorți a cui să fie.” Aceasta s-a întâmplat ca să se împlinească Scriptura care zice: „Și-au împărțit hainele Mele între ei, și pentru cămașa Mea au tras la sorți” (Ioan 19, 23:24).

4. Mai departe, Psalmul 22 descrie exact ce a făcut mulțimea. „Toţi cei ce mă văd îşi bat joc de mine, îşi deschid gura, dau din cap şi zic: „S-a încrezut în Domnul! Să-l mântuiască Domnul, să-l izbăvească, fiindcă-l iubeşte!” (vers. 7-8) „Trecătorii îşi băteau joc de El, dădeau din cap” și „bătrânii, îşi băteau şi ei joc: „S-a încrezut în Dumnezeu: să-L scape acum Dumnezeu” (Matei 27:39, 41-43)

5. „Toate marginile pământului își vor aduce aminte și se vor întoarce la Domnul; toate familiile neamurilor se vor închina înaintea Ta. Căci a Domnului este Împărăția; El stăpânește peste neamuri… O sămânță de oameni Îi va sluji și se va vorbi despre Domnul către cei ce vor veni după ei. Aceștia vor veni și vor vesti dreptatea Lui, vor vesti lucrarea Lui poporului care se va naște” (vers. 27-31). „Dar, după ce Își va da viața ca jertfă pentru păcat, va vedea o sămânță de urmași, va trăi multe zile și lucrarea Domnului va propăși în mâinile Lui. Va vedea rodul muncii sufletului Lui și se va înviora. Prin cunoștința Lui, Robul Meu cel neprihănit va pune pe mulți oameni într-o stare după voia lui Dumnezeu și va lua asupra Lui povara nelegiuirilor lor” (Isaia 53:10-11).

Psalmul 22 și Isaia 53 descriu la unison suferințele Mântuitorului. Misiunea lui Mesia se identifică cu suferința. El a murit pe cruce pentru că a spus și a trăit adevărul. De asemenea, lui Ioan Botezătorul i s-a tăiat capul pentru că a spus și a trăit adevărul. ,,Şi Ioan zicea lui Irod: „Nu-ţi este îngăduit să ţii pe nevasta fratelui tău!” (Marcu 6:18)

Toți oamenii lui Dumnezeu au trecut prin suferință din cauza credinței lor în Cristos și a slujirii lor înaintea oamenilor. Frica, îndoiala, descurajarea… sunt gânduri care ne intimidează, ne defocalizează, ne retrag din locul și activitatea în care ar trebui să fim găsiți.

Să ne rugăm Domnului să nu ne fie frică să trăim și să predicăm neprihănirea. Să ne rugăm Domnului să ne încheiem cu demnitate alergarea pe calea credinței. Să ne rugăm Domnului să ne urmăm Regele, indiferent când, unde și cum se încheie viața noastră pe pământ.

Sunday, May 19, 2024 – Psalm 22:1-31

A special place is held by the messianic psalms, which far surpass the experiences and emotions of King David. The description in this psalm fits more accurately with the execution of the Savior Jesus than with the family problems David went through. This psalm anticipates the sufferings endured by the Savior among men and during His crucifixion on the cross.

Psalm 22 contains 33 messianic prophecies, all fulfilled in the suffering and death of the Savior.

1.     “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (verse 1) “About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?' (which means 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?')” (Matthew 27:46)

2.     “But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by everyone, despised by the people. All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads. 'He trusts in the Lord,' they say, 'let the Lord rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.'” (verses 6-8)

3.     “They pierce my hands and my feet… All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.” (verses 16-18) “When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom. 'Let's not tear it,' they said to one another. 'Let's decide by lot who will get it.' This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled that said, 'They divided my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.'” (John 19:23-24)

4.     Further, Psalm 22 describes exactly what the crowd did. “All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads. 'He trusts in the Lord,' they say, 'let the Lord rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.'” (verses 7-8) “Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads.” And “the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. 'He saved others,' they said, 'but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.'” (Matthew 27:39, 41-43)

5.     “All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations… Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!” (verses 27-31) “Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.” (Isaiah 53:10-11)

Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 describe in unison the sufferings of the Savior. The mission of the Messiah is identified with suffering. He died on the cross because He spoke and lived the truth. Similarly, John the Baptist was beheaded because he spoke and lived the truth. “For John had been saying to Herod, 'It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.'” (Mark 6:18)

All of God's people have gone through suffering because of their faith in Christ and their service before men. Fear, doubt, discouragement… these are thoughts that intimidate us, distract us, and withdraw us from the place and activity where we should be found.

Let us pray to the Lord not to be afraid to live and preach righteousness. Let us pray to the Lord to help us finish our race with dignity on the path of faith. Let us pray to the Lord to help us to follow our King, regardless of when, where, and how our life on earth ends.
