Patruzeci de ani de domnie, o istorie care atinge măreția! În această istorie sunt numele unei armate de eroi, oameni care au trăit pentru Dumnezeu și pentru poporul lor. Galeria eroilor lui David conține 37 de oameni (vers. 39). Aceștia s-au constituit în forțele speciale, grupa de elită care nu funcționa neapărat într-o structură militară.

Printre acești 39 erau trei bărbați numiți fruntașii căpeteniilor (8-17), doi bărbați cu rang secundar (18-23) și ceilalți 32 de viteji (vers. 24-39). Este foarte interesant faptul că Ioab nu este menționat. Fiii Țeruiei care erau nepoții lui David au fost trei dintre cei mai proeminenți viteji.

Felul în care un om își trăiește viața construiește un nume, o reputație, o amintire. Aceștia 37 și-au dedicat viața lui Dumnezeu, împăratului și poporului lor și de 3000 de ani numele lor sunt rostite de cititorii Bibliei. Ei au rămas un simbol al consacrării, al curajului și vitejiei.

În rugăciunea acestei dimineți vom mulțumi lui Dumnezeu pentru eroii din viețile noastre. Mama și tata, marii eroi. Mentorii și învățătorii noștri, muzicienii și pastorii. Fiecare generație a avut eroii ei.

Dacă privim la eroii lui David, constatăm cu ușurință că fiecare dintre ei a avut slăbiciuni uneori, însă acestea nu i-a descalificat să rămână pentru posteritate pe paginile celei mai influente Cărți din istoria omenirii, ca fiind eroii lui David, cel mai strălucitor rege israelian.Să nu ne descalificăm eroii, nici prin nepăsare, nici prin invidie, nici… Să-I mulțumim lui Dumnezeu pentru ei și să le mulțumim lor pentru ei. Aceasta va fi singura dovadă că am trăit lângă ei!  

Apoi să ne rugăm lui Dumnezeu pentru a deveni eroii tovarășului de viață, ai copiilor noștri, ai celor care sunt numiți din punct de vedere geografic ,,aproapele”.

Forty years of reign, a history that touches greatness! In this history are the names of an army of heroes, people who lived for God and for their nation. David's gallery of heroes contains 37 men (verse 39). They constituted special forces, an elite group that did not necessarily operate within a military structure.

Among these 39 were three men named leaders of the captains (8-17), two men of secondary rank (18-23), and 32 other heroes (verses 24-39). It is very interesting that Joab is not mentioned. The sons of Zeruiah, who were David's nephews, were three of the most prominent heroes.

The way a person lives their life builds a name, a reputation, a memory. These 37 dedicated their lives to God, the king, and their people, and for 3000 years their names have been spoken by readers of the Bible. They have remained a symbol of dedication, courage, and heroism.

In this morning's prayer, we will thank God for the heroes in our lives. Our mother and father are great heroes. Our mentors and teachers, musicians, and pastors. Every generation had its heroes.

As we look at David's heroes, we can easily see that each of them sometimes had weaknesses, but these did not disqualify them from remaining for posterity on the pages of the most influential Book in human history, as David's heroes, the most brilliant Israeli king. We should not disqualify our heroes, neither through indifference, nor through envy, nor… Let's thank God for them and thank them for who they are. This will be the only proof that we lived alongside them!

Then let us pray to God to help us become heroes to our companions for life, to our children, to those who are geographically termed “neighbors”.
