Joi, 20 iulie 2023, Iosua 12:1-24 – Regii cuceriți

Capitolul 12 încheie episodul introdus și prezentat în capitolul 11. Mai întâi sunt consemnate victoriile lui Moise în perioada călătoriei prin pustie. Apoi sunt enumerați 16 regi din sudul Canaanului și 15 regi din nordul Canaanului. Teritoriul în care au domnit acești 31 de regi era de aproximativ 250 x 80 de km, aceasta însemnând că ei au fost niște regi locali. Lipsa unei conduceri centralizate în Canaan a ușurat cucerirea țării. Visul acestui popor format de Dumnezeu s-a împlinit și fiecare seminție și-a primit moștenirea în Canaan.

Este timpul rugăciunii și vom începe mulțumindu-I Domnului pentru promisiunile împlinite. Faptul că Dumnezeu Își împlinește fiecare promisiune făcută ne aduce multă pace și liniște sufletească. Apoi, vom continua rugăciunea cerând Domnului binecuvântare de pâine și apă.

Thursday, July 20, 2023: Joshua 12:1-24 – The Conquered Kings

Chapter 12 concludes the episode introduced and presented in chapter 11. First, the victories of Moses during the journey through the wilderness are recorded. Then 16 kings from southern Canaan and 15 kings from northern Canaan are listed. The territory where these 31 kings reigned was approximately 250 x 80 km, implying that they were local kings. The lack of centralized leadership in Canaan facilitated the conquest of the country. The dream formed by God for the Israelite people was now fulfilled , and each tribe received its inheritance in Canaan.

It's prayer time, and we will start by thanking the Lord for the promises He fulfilled. The fact that God fulfills every promise He makes brings us much peace and tranquility in our souls. Then, we will continue our prayer, asking the Lord for the blessings of bread and water.
