Duminică, 2 aprilie 2023, Exodul 39:1-43 – Pregătirea veșmintelor preoților

Meșterii au confecționat îmbrăcămintea pentru preoți și pentru Marele Preot. Marele Preot trebuia să poarte tunică și pantaloni pentru a-și acoperi goliciunea. Aceste articole de îmbrăcăminte au fost fabricate din fire de in subțire. Deasupra acestora, Marele Preot purta o mantie albastră. Peste mantie purta efodul și pieptarul. Efodul, brâul și pieptarul au fost făcute din aur. Douăsprezece pietre prețioase erau prinse pe acest pieptar. Pe aceste pietre prețioase au fost gravate numele celor douăsprezece seminții ale lui Israel. Pe cap purta turbanul realizat din pânză țesută subțire. Pe turban era prinsă o plăcuță de aur curat, pe care era gravat: ,,Sfințenie Domnului”. A fost pusă pe o sfoară albastră atașată la partea din față a turbanului.

Cele mai multe dintre articolele de îmbrăcăminte ale Marelui Preot au fost făcute din fir de aur, albastru, purpuriu și cărămiziu și in subțire țesut. Când toate lucrurile au fost realizate, au fost aduse la Moise pentru a fi binecuvântate (v. 43). Îmbrăcămintea Marelui Preot îl reprezenta atât pe el, cât și pe Dumnezeu. De aceea hainele lui erau așa de frumoase!

Ne închinăm în rugăciunea din această dimineață mulțumind lui Dumnezeu pentru Marele Preot al mântuirii noastre: ,,De aceea, frați sfinți, care aveți parte de chemarea cerească, ațintiți-vă privirile la Apostolul şi Marele Preot al mărturisirii noastre, adică Isus” (Evrei 3:1). În a doua parte a rugăciunii să cerem de la Dumnezeu harul de a trăi în neprihănire. În felul acesta, vom purta în suflet în fiecare zi speranța învierii și a moștenirii Împărăției lui Dumnezeu.

Sunday, April 2, 2023: Exodus 39:1-43 – Preparation of the Priestly Garments

The craftsmen made clothing for the priests and for the High Priest. The High Priest had to wear a tunic and pants to cover his nakedness. These clothing items were made of fine linen. On top of them, the High Priest wore a blue robe. Over the robe, he wore the ephod and the breastpiece. The ephod, belt, and breastpiece were made of gold. Twelve precious stones were attached to this breastpiece. The names of the twelve tribes of Israel were engraved on these precious stones. On his head, he wore a turban made of thin woven linen. A pure gold plate was attached to the turban, on which was engraved: “Holy to the Lord.” It was placed on a blue cord attached to the front of the turban.

Most of the High Priest's clothing was made of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen. When all things were made, they were brought to Moses to be blessed (v. 43). The High Priest's garments represented both the priest and God. For this reason, his garments were incredibly beautiful!

We worship in prayer this morning, thanking God for the High Priest of our salvation: “Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest” (Hebrews 3:1). In the second part of our prayer, we ask God for the grace to live in righteousness. In this way, we will carry the hope of the resurrection and the inheritance of the Kingdom of God in our hearts every day.
