Duminică, 19 ianuarie 2025 – Isaia 63:1-19

Capitolul 63 demonstrează faptul că Dumnezeu Își găsește plăcerea să ierte și să restaureze poporul Său, nu să-l judece și să-l pedepsească. Totuși, din cauza păcatelor fără număr de care israeliții s-au făcut vinovați în mod constant, Dumnezeu i-a pedepsit, lăsându-i uneori pradă popoarelor puternice din Mesopotamia, drept pentru care egiptenii, sirienii, asirienii și babilonienii i-au cucerit și i-au stăpânit în anumite perioade ale istoriei.

„Pentru ce, Doamne, ne-ai făcut să rătăcim de la căile Tale și ne împietrești inima ca să nu ne temem de Tine? Întoarce-Te, din dragoste pentru robii Tăi, pentru semințiile moștenirii Tale!” (vers. 17).

Capitolul 63 este împărțit în două secțiuni:

1.     Primele 6 versete ilustrează judecata divină asupra națiunilor necredincioase: „Eu singur am călcat în teasc și niciun om dintre popoare nu era cu Mine; i-am călcat astfel în mânia Mea și i-am zdrobit în urgia Mea; așa că sângele lor a țâșnit pe veșmintele Mele și Mi-am mânjit toate hainele Mele cu el. Căci în inima Mea era o zi de răzbunare și venise anul celor răscumpărați ai Mei.” (vers.1-6)

2.     Cea de-a doua secțiune prezintă rugăciunea poporului sfânt: „Voi vesti îndurările Domnului, faptele Lui minunate, după tot ce a făcut Domnul pentru noi! Voi spune marea Lui bunătate față de casa lui Israel, căci i-a făcut după îndurările și bogăția dragostei Lui.” (vers. 1)

Toate aceste frânturi de istorie poartă cu ele adevărate lecții de viață pentru generația noastră, chiar dacă suntem la aproximativ 2500 de ani distanță de evenimentele luate în discuție. Prima lecție de viață este importanța și urgența mântuirii. Iertarea păcatelor este cea mai mare realizare din viața unui om, deoarece oferă viață eternă. A doua lecție de viață explică indispensabilitatea sfințirii vieții și oportunitatea slujirii. Ambele validează autenticitatea mântuirii.

Să ne rugăm cu pasiune pentru o viață sfântă și roditoare. Dumnezeul cel Atotputernic să ne dea har!

Sunday, January 19, 2025 – Isaiah 63:1-19

Chapter 63 demonstrates that God takes pleasure in forgiving and restoring His people, not in judging and punishing them. However, due to the countless sins the Israelites continually committed, God punished them, sometimes leaving them at the mercy of powerful nations from Mesopotamia. Consequently, they were conquered and ruled at various times in history by the Egyptians, Syrians, Assyrians, and Babylonians.
“Why, Lord, do You make us wander from Your ways and harden our hearts so we do not revere You? Return for the sake of Your servants, the tribes that are Your inheritance!” (verse 17).

Chapter 63 is divided into two sections:

1.     The first six verses illustrate divine judgment upon unfaithful nations:
“I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with Me. I trampled them in My anger and trod them down in My wrath; their blood spattered My garments, and I stained all My clothing. It was for Me the day of vengeance; the year for Me to redeem had come.” (verses 1-6)

2.     The second section presents the prayer of the holy people:
“I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which He is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us—yes, the many good things He has done for Israel, according to His compassion and many kindnesses.” (verse 7)

All these fragments of history carry valuable life lessons for our generation, even though we are approximately 2,500 years removed from the events discussed.

The first life lesson is the importance and urgency of salvation. The forgiveness of sins is the greatest achievement in a person’s life because it grants eternal life.
The second life lesson underscores the indispensability of a sanctified life and the opportunity for service. Both validate the authenticity of salvation.
