Sâmbătă, 19 august 2023, Judecători 18:1-31 – Migrația seminției lui Dan spre nord

Neexistând o conducere centrală și o armată națională, fiecare seminție se descurca cum putea în conflictele pe care le aveau cu locuitorii țării sau cu armate din afara țării. Seminția lui Dan fusese împinsă de amoriți și, mai târziu, de filisteni spre est, în teritoriile lui Efraim și Beniamin. Ținutul lor era cel mai aproape de filisteni, așezat între Efraim și Beniamin. În această situație, au migrat spre nord, căutând teritorii noi în care să se așeze. Ei au ales cinci bărbați viteji din Torea și Estaol și i-au trimis să spioneze țara. În călătoria lor au rămas peste noapte în casa lui Mica. Întâlnindu-l pe tânărul levit Ionatan, preotul lui Mica, au întrebat pe Domnul prin el.

Ionatan le-a răspuns din partea Domnului: ,,Călătoria pe care o faceți este sub privirile Domnului”. Încurajați de `profeția` lui Ionatan, au continuat cercetarea zonei și ajuns în Lais, în partea de nord, aproape de Marea Tiberiadei. Aici oamenii trăiau în pace și liniștit. Spionii s-au întors la seminția lui Dan și au pus la cale să cucerească zona de nord și cetatea Lais. Convinși de spioni și de `promisiunea lui Dumnezeu`, 600 de oameni înarmați au pornit spre zona pe care doreau s-o cucerească.

În drum s-au oprit la casa lui Mica și cei cinci spioni au furat idolii din sanctuarul de familie. Mai mult, l-au luat cu ei pe preotul casei, pe tânărul Ionatan levitul. Daniții au continuat călătoria, au ajuns în Lais, au omorât locuitorii, au ars cetatea și s-au așezat în locul lor, construind o cetate cu numele lor, Dan. Ca și Mica, au întemeiat un centru de închinare, iar preot era tânărul Ionatan, levitul. Acest sistem ocult de închinare a promovat un sistem religios fals în timpul lui Ieroboam, care a așezat sistemul de închinare în Regatul de Nord. Nu este de mirare că din cei 19 împărați ai Regatul de Nord nu a fost nici un împărat bun.

A venit timpul rugăciunii și vom mulțumi împreună lui Dumnezeu pentru că în orice generație a avut slujitori și metode de predicare a Evangheliei. Apoi vom continua să ne rugăm, cerând Domnului discernământ și echilibru, înțelepciunea de a deosebi vocea Domnului de vocea diavolului ascunsă în oficiul profeției.

Saturday, August 19, 2023: Judges 18:1-31 – The Migration of the Tribe of Dan to the North

Without centralized leadership and a national army, each tribe managed as best they could in conflicts with the inhabitants of the land or with armies from outside the country. The tribe of Dan had been pushed by the Amorites and, later, by the Philistines to the east, into the territories of Ephraim and Benjamin. Their land was closest to the Philistines, situated between Ephraim and Benjamin. In this situation, they migrated to the north, seeking new territories to settle in. They chose five brave men from Zorah and Eshtaol and sent them to spy on the land. On their journey, they stayed overnight at Micah's house. Meeting the young Levite, Jonathan, Micah's priest, they inquired of the Lord through him.

Jonathan answered them on behalf of the Lord, “The journey you are making is under the Lord's eyes.” Encouraged by Jonathan's prophecy, they continued to explore the area and arrived in Laish, to the north, near the Sea of Galilee. Here, the people lived peacefully and quietly. The spies returned to the tribe of Dan and devised a plan to conquer the northern area and the city of Laish. Convinced by the spies and the promise of God, 600 armed men set out for the area they wished to conquer.

On the way, they stopped at Micah's house, and the five spies stole the idols from the family sanctuary. Moreover, they took with them the house priest, the young Levite, Jonathan. The Danites continued their journey, reached Laish, killed the inhabitants, burned the city, and settled in their place, building a fortress named after them, Dan. Like Micah, they established a worship center, with the young Jonathan the Levite as the priest. This occult worship system promoted a false religious system during Jeroboam's time, who placed the worship system in the Northern Kingdom. It's no wonder that among the 19 kings of the Northern Kingdom, not one was good.

It is once again prayer time, and we will jointly thank God because in every generation He had servants and methods of preaching the Gospel. Then we will continue to pray, asking the Lord for discernment and balance, the wisdom to distinguish the voice of the Lord from the devil's voice hidden under the guise of prophecy.
