Sâmbătă, 16 martie 2024, Estera 10:1-3 – Promovarea lui Mardoheu în Imperiul Persan

Ultimul capitol al cărții Estera face referire la puterea și stăpânirea regelui persan, Ahașveroș. El l-a înălțat pe Mardoheu să fie al doilea după împărat (vers. 3) și promovarea aceasta a fost menționată în cronicile regale. Cronicile de la curtea regală păstrau informații despre evenimentele din fiecare an.

,,Nevinovăția omului fără prihană îi netezește calea, dar cel rău cade prin însăși răutatea lui. Nevinovăția oamenilor fără prihană îi scapă, dar cei răi sunt prinși de răutatea lor” (Proverbe 11:5-6).

Este încurajator să remarcăm faptul că Vasti, regina persană, este înlăturată, timp în care, Estera, evreica orfană, ajunge regină și, sub influența ei, neamul evreiesc supraviețuiește complotului lui Haman.

Pe Dumnezeu nu Îl atrag realizările noastre academice, profesionale sau materiale. Lucrul care mișcă inima lui Dumnezeu este sfințenia. Aceasta înseamnă pocăință, credință, smerenie, adevăr și multă dragoste.

Lăsăm în urmă această carte a biruinței umblării cu Dumnezeu, o carte care ne îmbogățește viața, ne inspiră și ne ajută să ne încredem cu speranță și mai mult în Dumnezeul cel Atotputernic!

Saturday, March 16, 2024, Esther 10:1-3 –Mordecai’s Promotion in the Persian Empire

The last chapter of the book of Esther refers to the power and dominion of the Persian king, Ahasuerus. He elevated Mordecai to be second only to the emperor (verse 3), and this promotion was mentioned in the royal chronicles. The royal court chronicles kept information about the events of each year.

“The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires.” (Proverbs 11:5-6).

It is encouraging to note that Vashti, the Persian queen, is removed, during which time, Esther, the orphaned Jewish girl, becomes queen and, under her influence, the Jewish people survive Haman's plot.

God is not attracted to our academic, professional, or material achievements. What moves God's heart is holiness. This means repentance, faith, humility, truth, and much love.

We leave behind this book of the victory of walking with God, a book that enriches our lives, inspires us, and helps us to trust with even more hope in the Almighty God!
