Vineri, 16 iunie 2023, Deuteronom 13:1-18 – Pedepsirea prorocilor mincinoși

Moise explica poporului că există cel puțin trei căi prin care practica idolatriei poate intra în poporul lui Dumnezeu: (1) proroci mincinoși, (2) rude apropiate sau (3) un grup de oameni cu antecedente.

Moise a știut suficient de bine că oamenii din popor sunt vulnerabili la vederea semnelor și minunilor, drept pentru care le-a explicat faptul că standardul adevărului nu sunt semnele miraculoase, ci Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu. Semnele și minunile se manifestă în multe religii pentru că Diavolul folosește religia falsă și prorocii mincinoși pentru a înșela oamenii (2 Corinteni 11:13-15). Manifestarea unui semn, a unei minuni sau împlinirea unei prorocii nu este singurul test al autenticității. Dacă o prorocie se împlinește, dar în același timp contrazice Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu din Biblie, atunci prorocia aceea nu poate fi de la Dumnezeu. Dacă slujirea umană și manifestarea darurilor spirituale contrazic Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu din Biblie, în mod sigur nu sunt inspirate de Dumnezeu.

Visătorul sau prorocul mincinos trebuia omorât pentru a elimina sursa de înșelăciune din mijlocul poporului sfânt. Dumnezeu, care inspiră slujitorii Săi în generația noastră, nu poate spune lucruri opuse/diferite față de mesajul pe care l-a dat prin profeții din Vechiul Testament și apostolii din Noul Testament.

Începem o nouă zi cu rugăciune, mulțumindu-I Domnului pentru lumina și călăuzirea pe care ni le dă prin Cuvântul Său din Biblie. Adevărul ne va face slobozi/liberi. Apoi ne vom ruga Domnului să ne dea discernământ și înțelepciune în selectarea mesajelor din generația noastră. Ne vom ruga în mod concret pentru primirea darurilor de deosebire a duhurilor. Sănătatea spirituală unei Biserici va fi direct proporțională cu autenticitatea mesajelor cu care ea se hrănește.

Friday, June 16, 2023: Deuteronomy 13:1-18 – Punishing False Prophets

Moses explains to the people that there are at least three ways through which the practice of idolatry can infiltrate God's people: (1) false prophets, (2) close relatives, or (3) a group of people with a history.

Moses knew well enough that the people are vulnerable to the sight of signs and wonders, which is why he explained to them that the standard of truth is not miraculous signs, but the Word of God. Signs and wonders manifest in many religions because the Devil uses false religion and false prophets to deceive people (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). The manifestation of a sign, a wonder, or the fulfillment of a prophecy is not the only test of authenticity. If a prophecy is fulfilled, but at the same time contradicts the Word of God in the Bible, then that prophecy cannot be from God. If human service and the manifestation of spiritual gifts contradict the Word of God in the Bible, they are surely not inspired by God.

The clairvoyant or false prophet had to be killed to eliminate the source of deception from the midst of the holy people. God, who inspires His servants in our generation, cannot say opposite/different things from the message He gave through the prophets of the Old Testament and the apostles of the New Testament.

We begin a new day with prayer, thanking the Lord for the light and guidance He gives us through His Word in the Bible. The truth will set us free. Then we will pray to the Lord to give us discernment and wisdom in selecting messages from our generation. We will specifically pray to receive the gift of discerning spirits. The spiritual health of a Church will be directly proportional to the authenticity of the messages with which it nourishes itself.
