Sâmbătă, 12 iulie 2025, Zaharia 2:1-13

Zaharia 2 este un capitol profetic care oferă o viziune despre restaurarea Ierusalimului și prezența lui Dumnezeu în mijlocul poporului Său.

Mesajul capitolului 2 poate fi împărțit în câteva secțiuni:

1.     Viziunea funiei de măsurat (vers. 1–5) Mă duc să măsor Ierusalimul… (vers. 2) Zaharia vede un om cu o funie de măsurat — simbol al planului divin pentru extinderea cetății. Dumnezeu promite: Eu Însumi voi fi un zid de foc… și slava Lui în mijlocul lui. (vers. 5)

2.     Chemarea la întoarcere din exil (vers. 6–7) Fugiți din țara de la miazănoapte… scapă, Sioane! (vers. 6–7) Dumnezeu cheamă poporul să iasă din Babilon și să se întoarcă în Țara Sfântă. El poruncește evreilor să se separe urgent de influențele păgâne.

3.     Protecția divină și răzbunarea asupra neamurilor (vers. 8–9) Cel ce se atinge de voi se atinge de lumina ochilor Lui. (vers. 8) Dumnezeu afirmă că poporul Său este protejat și orice atac asupra lor este un atac asupra Lui.

4.     Promisiunea prezenței lui Dumnezeu și înmulțirea poporului (vers. 10–11) Eu vin și voi locui în mijlocul tău. (vers. 10) Dumnezeu promite să locuiască în Ierusalim. Multe neamuri se vor alipi de Domnul și vor deveni poporul Lui: Domnul va lua în stăpânire pe Iuda… orice făptură să tacă înaintea Domnului. (vers. 12–13)

Dumnezeu reafirmă alegerea Ierusalimului ca o moștenire sfântă și veșnică. Se cere tăcere și reverență – Dumnezeu S-a sculat din Locașul Lui cel Sfânt. Zaharia 2 este o viziune profetică plină de speranță. Dumnezeu nu doar reconstruiește ziduri, ci restaurează inimi. El promite protecție, prezență și extindere. Ierusalimul nu va fi doar o cetate fizică, ci un simbol al locuirii divine și al mântuirii universale: Strigă de veselie și bucură-te, fiica Sionului! Căci, iată, Eu vin și voi locui în mijlocul tău. (vers. 10)

Zechariah 2 is a prophetic chapter that offers a vision of the restoration of Jerusalem and God’s presence in the midst of His people.

The message of chapter 2 can be divided into several sections:

1.     The vision of the measuring line (vv. 1–5)
“I am going to measure Jerusalem…” (v. 2) Zechariah sees a man with a measuring line — a symbol of God’s plan for the expansion of the city. God promises: “I Myself will be a wall of fire… and His glory within.” (v. 5)

2.     The call to return from exile (vv. 6–7)
“Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north… Escape, Zion!” (vv. 6–7) God calls the people to leave Babylon and return to the Holy Land. He commands the Jews to urgently separate from pagan influences.

3.     Divine protection and vengeance on the nations (vv. 8–9)
“Whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye.” (v. 8) God affirms that His people are protected and that any attack on them is an attack on Him.

4.     The promise of God’s presence and the growth of the people (vv. 10–11)
“I am coming, and I will live among you.” (v. 10) God promises to dwell in Jerusalem. Many nations will join themselves to the Lord and will become His people: “The Lord will inherit Judah… Let all mankind be silent before the Lord.” (vv. 12–13)

God reaffirms the choice of Jerusalem as a holy and eternal inheritance. Silence and reverence are required — God has risen from His holy dwelling. Zechariah 2 is a prophetic vision full of hope. God is not only rebuilding walls but restoring hearts. He promises protection, presence, and expansion. Jerusalem will not only be a physical city but a symbol of divine dwelling and universal salvation: “Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you.” (v. 10)
