Marți, 11 iulie 2023, Iosua 3:1-17 – Trecerea Iordanului

Fiind încurajat de raportul primit, Iosua a organizat trecerea Iordanului și invadarea Canaanului. După trei zile de pregătire, preoții și chivotul erau în fața poporului ca un simbol al faptului că Dumnezeu a adus Israelul în Țara Promisă. Este impresionant faptul că lucrul acesta a contat pentru Dumnezeu și Iosua a organizat acest detaliu.

Iosua a cerut poporului să se sfințească și să se dedice Domnului. Domnul i-a spus lui Iosua că trebuie să coordoneze trecerea Iordanului și că El îl va înălța în fața poporului. Faptul că poporul a traversat Iordanul când debitul apei era foarte mare și trecea peste maluri L-a glorificat pe Dumnezeu, l-a înălțat pe Iosua ca lider, Israelul a fost încurajat, iar canaaniții au fost îngroziți. Un popor de aproximativ două milioane de oameni cu bătrâni, bolnavi și copii a trecut ca pe uscat și apele s-au oprit când picioarele preoților au intrat în apă!

Este timpul să mulțumim lui Dumnezeu pentru că face minuni în favoarea poporului Său. Să ne rugăm Domnului să nu ne pierdem atitudinea de recunoștință și mulțumire prin care să admirăm bunătatea și îndurarea Sa.

Tuesday, July 11, 2023: Joshua 3:1-17 – Crossing the Jordan

Encouraged by the report he received, Joshua organized the crossing of the Jordan River and the invasion of Canaan. After three days of preparation, the priests and the ark were in front of the people as a symbol that God had brought Israel to the Promised Land. It is impressive that this detail mattered to God, and Joshua organized it accordingly.

Joshua asked the people to consecrate themselves and dedicate themselves to the Lord. The Lord told Joshua that he should coordinate the crossing of the Jordan, and He would exalt Joshua before the people. The fact that the people crossed the Jordan when the water flow was very high and overflowing its banks glorified God, elevated Joshua as a leader, encouraged Israel, and terrified the Canaanites. A people of approximately two million, including the elderly, the sick, and children, crossed as if on dry land, and the waters stopped flowing when the priests' feet entered the water!

It is time to thank God for working miracles in favor of His people. Let us pray that we would not to lose our attitude of gratitude and thanksgiving, through which we admire His kindness and mercy.
