Marți, 10 ianuarie, Geneza 8:1-22 – Înnoirea tuturor lucrurilor

Capitolul 6 a prezentat perioada de dinaintea potopului, capitolul 7 a prezentat potopul în sine, iar capitolul 8 prezintă ce s-a întâmplat după potop. Din raportul Bibliei înțelegem că a fost nevoie de aproximativ 5 luni pentru ca volumul mare de apă care a inundat Planeta să se retragă și pământul să se usuce.

După potop, Dumnezeu a așezat în nori semnul curcubeului și a promis că nu va mai nimici vreodată întreg pământul prin ape mari. Lecția potopului a fost uitată și este de mulți oameni contestată. Cei opt membri ai familiei lui Noe au repopulat pământul și astăzi suntem aproximativ 8 miliarde de oameni.

După cum oamenii care au murit înghițiți de apele potopului nu au crezut în Dumnezeu și în profeția care prevestea evenimentul catastrofic, tot la fel, în vremea sfârșitului mulți oameni vor manifesta necredință în Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu, contestând profețiile sfârșitului vieții pe pământ care sunt gata să se împlinească.

Ceea ce este interesant este faptul că imediat ce a ieșit din corabie, Noe a zidit un altar unde să se închine lui Dumnezeu. Nu a zidit o casă, nici nu a lucrat pământul, ci mai întâi a zidit un altar pentru Dumnezeu. Această prioritate este manifestarea responsabilității unuia care a fost martor la manifestarea mâniei divine împotriva păcatului omenesc.

În rugăciunea acestei dimineți vom mulțumi cu recunoștință lui Dumnezeu pentru că ne-a ajutat să înțelegem și să acceptăm Evanghelia Sa. Apoi vom cere de la El resursele necesare pentru a păstra prioritatea lucrurilor sfinte în viața personală și în cea de familială.

Tuesday, January 10: Genesis 8:1-22 – The Renewing of All Things

            Chapter 6 presented the time before the flood, chapter 7 presented the actual flood, and chapter 8 presents what happened after the flood. From the Biblical report we understand that there was a need of approximately 5 months for the enormous volume of water that flooded the planet to retreat and for the earth to dry up.

After the flood, God placed the symbol of the rainbow in the clouds and promised that He would never destroy the entire planet with water again. The lesson of the flood was soon forgotten and is contested by many people. The eight members of Noah’s family repopulated the earth and today we are approximately 8 billion people.

            Just as the people that died, swallowed by the flood waters did not believe in God and in the prophesy of the catastrophe that would overcome the earth, in the same way, in the end of times, many people will manifest disbelief in God’s Word, contesting the prophecies regarding the end of the life on earth, which are ready to be fulfilled.

            What is interesting is the fact that as soon as he exited the Ark, Noah built an altar where he could worship the Lord. He did not build a house, nor did he work the land, but rather he first built an altar to God. This priority is the manifestation of responsibility of one who was witness to the divine wrath against humanity’s sin.

            In this morning’s prayer we will continue to manifest our gratitude to God for helping us understand and accept His Gospel. Then we will ask for the necessary resources to keep holy things a priority in our personal and familial lives.
