Miercuri, 10 ianuarie, 2024, 2 Cronici 5:1-14 – Sfințirea Templului 

Construcția Templului a durat șapte ani (1 Regi 6:38). Cu excepția chivotului, toate uneltele și toate darurile strânse de David au fost aduse în Templu (1 Cronici 22:14). În toamna anului 959 î. Cr., cu ocazia sărbătorii Corturilor, Solomon a organizat aducerea chivotului în Templu din cortul așezat de David pe muntele Sion (1 Cronici 15:1).

Când chivotul a ajuns în Templu, preoții l-au așezat în Locul Preasfânt, sub aripile heruvimilor (v. 7-8). Ezra menționează că tablele Legii erau în chivot (v. 10). După ce au ieșit din Templu, cele douăzeci și patru de cete de preoți și leviți L-au lăudat pe Dumnezeu într-o atmosferă glorioasă. O sută douăzeci de trompete, chimvale și alte instrumente au sunat în cinstea lui Dumnezeu care a condus, protejat și binecuvântat pe poporul Său. Dumnezeu a primit închinarea poporului Său, Și-a manifestat prezența și Templul s-a umplut de norul slavei (Exod 10:34-35).

Deși au fost contestați, atacați și respinși de toate popoarele, evreii au progresat și acum erau într-un dintre cele mai glorioase momente ale istoriei lor. Templu era finalizat și funcțional, cetele preoților și leviților erau organizate și slujeau, armata era puternică și bine organizată, trezoreria era plină și belșugul domnea în casele oamenilor. Dumnezeu a onorat inaugurarea Templului și Și-a manifestat prezența într-un mod unic. Foștii robi din Egipt erau în perioada lor de aur, învăluiți în norul slavei lui Dumnezeu.

Îi mulțumim lui Dumnezeu pentru că este un Dumnezeu care salvează, ridică, iartă și vindecă, dă viitor și nădejde! Ne vom ruga lui Dumnezeu să Îl prețuim pe El mai mult decât țara, binecuvântările, belșugul, realizările și orice alte lucruri pe care Dumnezeu ni le-a dat sub semnul binecuvântării.

Wednesday, January 10, 2024: 2 Chronicles 5:1-14 – The Dedication of the Temple

The construction of the Temple took seven years (1 Kings 6:38). With the exception of the Ark, all the tools and all the gifts collected by David were brought into the Temple (1 Chronicles 22:14). In the autumn of the year 959 BC, during the Feast of Tabernacles, Solomon organized the transfer of the Ark to the Temple from the tent that David had set up on Mount Zion (1 Chronicles 15:1).

When the Ark arrived at the Temple, the priests placed it in the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the cherubim (v. 7-8). Ezra mentions that the tablets of the Law were in the Ark (v. 10). After they came out of the Temple, the twenty-four divisions of priests and Levites praised God in a glorious atmosphere. One hundred and twenty trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments sounded in honor of the God who had led, protected, and blessed His people. God accepted His people's worship, manifested His presence, and the Temple was filled with the cloud of His glory (Exodus 10:34-35).

Despite being contested, attacked, and rejected by all peoples, the Jews had progressed and were now in one of the most glorious moments of their history. The Temple was completed and functional, the divisions of priests and Levites were organized and in service, the army was strong and well-organized, the treasury was full, and abundance reigned in people's homes. God honored the inauguration of the Temple and manifested His presence in a unique way. The former slaves from Egypt were in their golden age, enveloped in the cloud of God's glory.

We thank God for being a God who saves, lifts up, forgives, and heals, giving a future and hope! We will pray to God to helps us value Him more than our country, blessings, abundance, achievements, and any other things that God has given us under the sign of His blessing.
