Marcu 15 descrie procesul Mântuitorului Isus înaintea lui Pilat, batjocorirea Sa, răstignirea, moartea și îngroparea.

Autoritatea religioasă supremă care L-a condamnat pe Domnul Isus de blasfemie era Sinedriul, compus din marii preoți, cărturari și bătrâni.

Acest capitol poate fi împărțit în câteva secțiuni:

1.     Procesul înaintea lui Pilat (vers. 1–15)
„Pilat L-a întrebat: ‘Ești Tu Împăratul iudeilor?’ ‘Da, sunt’, I-a răspuns Isus.” (vers. 2)
Preoții Îl dau pe Isus în mâna romanilor sub acuzația de răzvrătire și blasfemie.
Pilat, deși recunoaște că Isus este nevinovat, cedează presiunii mulțimii (vers. 14–15).

2.     Batjocorirea de către soldați (vers. 16–20)
„Și-L loveau în cap cu o trestie, Îl scuipau, îngenuncheau și I se închinau.” (vers. 19)

3.     Răstignirea (vers. 21–32)
Simon din Cirene este constrâns să ducă crucea Mântuitorului până la locul răstignirii (vers. 21).
„Era ceasul al treilea când L-au răstignit.” (vers. 25)
Crucea arată pe de-o parte răutatea extremă a omului, însă pe de altă parte arată dragostea supremă a lui Dumnezeu.

4.     Moartea lui Isus (vers. 33–41)
Catapeteasma din Templu se rupe de sus până jos (vers. 38), iar centurionul roman mărturisește: „Cu adevărat, Omul acesta era Fiul lui Dumnezeu!” (vers. 39).
Femeile care L-au urmat sunt martorele suferinței și morții Domnului (vers. 40–41).

5.     Îngroparea lui Isus (vers. 42–47)
Iosif din Arimateea, un membru respectat al Sinedriului, Îl cere pe Isus de la Pilat și Îl așază într-un mormânt nou (vers. 42–47).
Chiar și în moartea Sa, Isus adună ucenici curajoși și credincioși, care Îl onorează cu respect.
„Şi Iosif a cumpărat o pânză subţire de in, a dat jos pe Isus de pe cruce, L-a înfăşurat în pânza de in şi L-a pus într-un mormânt săpat în stâncă. Apoi a prăvălit o piatră la uşa mormântului.” (vers. 46).

Toate aceste suferințe Domnul le-a purtat în locul nostru.
Să ne rugăm pentru mântuirea oamenilor și pentru vindecarea bolilor.

Mark 15 describes the trial of the Savior Jesus before Pilate, His mocking, crucifixion, death, and burial.

The supreme religious authority that condemned the Lord Jesus for blasphemy was the Sanhedrin, composed of the chief priests, teachers of the law, and elders.

This chapter can be divided into several sections:

1.     The Trial before Pilate (vv. 1–15)
“Pilate asked Him, ‘Are you the king of the Jews?’ ‘Yes, it is as you say,’ Jesus replied.” (v. 2)
The priests hand Jesus over to the Romans under the accusation of rebellion and blasphemy.
Pilate, although he recognizes that Jesus is innocent, yields to the pressure of the crowd (vv. 14–15).

2.     The Mocking by the Soldiers (vv. 16–20)
“Again and again they struck Him on the head with a staff and spit on Him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to Him.” (v. 19)
The soldiers struck Him on the head with a staff, spat on Him, fell on their knees, and mocked Him with homage.

3.     The Crucifixion (vv. 21–32)
Simon of Cyrene is compelled to carry the Savior’s cross to the place of crucifixion (v. 21).
“It was nine in the morning when they crucified Him.” (v. 25)
The cross shows on one hand the extreme wickedness of man, but on the other hand reveals the supreme love of God.

4.     The Death of Jesus (vv. 33–41)
The curtain of the temple is torn in two from top to bottom (v. 38), and the Roman centurion declares: “Surely this man was the Son of God!” (v. 39).
The women who followed Him are witnesses to the suffering and death of the Lord (vv. 40–41).

5.     The Burial of Jesus (vv. 42–47)
Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the Sanhedrin, requests the body of Jesus from Pilate and lays Him in a new tomb (vv. 42–47).
Even in His death, Jesus gathers courageous and faithful disciples who honor Him with respect.
“So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.” (v. 46)

All these sufferings the Lord bore in our place.
Let us pray for the salvation of people and for the healing of diseases.
