Sâmbătă, 4 martie 2023, Exodul 10:1-29 – Urgiile a opta și a noua

Lăcustele și întunericul de trei zile au creat un dezastru economic care a sărăcit țara și a speriat cetățenii. Faraon s-a resemnat și a renunțat la lupta cu Dumnezeu. Frângerea lui Faraon și acceptarea eliberării sclavilor evrei a fost progresivă, după cum urmează:

1) ,,Duceți-vă și aduceți jertfe Dumnezeului vostru aici în țară” (8:25); Moise nu a acceptat să se închine în țară, în mijlocul egiptenilor.

2) ,,Vă voi lăsa să plecați, ca să aduceți jertfe Domnului…; numai să nu vă depărtați prea mult dacă plecați” (8:28); Dumnezeu a precizat distanța: ,,3 zile”. Însă Faraon le recomandă să nu se îndepărteze prea mult de Egipt.

3) ,,Duceți-vă voi, bărbații, și aduceți jertfă Domnului, căci așa ați cerut” (10:11); Părintii nu ar fi putut să se închine fără copiii lor, de aceea nu au acceptat metoda vicleană a regelui egiptean.

4) ,,Duceți-vă și slujiți Domnului! Să nu rămână în țară decât oile și boii voștri. Copiii voștri vor putea merge și ei cu voi” (10:24). Moise nu se mulțumește să plece doar cu familiile, drept pentru care nu-și lasă proprietățile și bunurile în Egipt. ,,Nu va rămâne o unghie în Egipt”, a spus Moise.

Începem rugăciunea mulțumind Domnului pentru înțelegerea planurilor vrăjmașului. Continuăm apoi rugăciunea, cerând înțelepciune și discernământ să deosebim ce este curat de ce este necurat.

Saturday, March 4, 2023: Exodus 10:1-29 – The Eight and Ninth Plagues

The locusts and the three days of darkness created an economic disaster that impoverished the country and frightened the citizens. Pharaoh resigned himself and gave up the fight against God. The defeat of Pharaoh and the acceptance of the liberation of the Hebrew slaves was progressive, as follows:

1)    “Go and sacrifice to your God here in the land” (8:25); Moses refused to worship in the land, in the midst of the Egyptians.

2)    “I will let you go to sacrifice to the Lord… but you must not go too far” (8:28); God specified the distance: “three days“. But Pharaoh recommended that they not go too far from Egypt.

3)    “ Have only the men go and worship the Lord, since that’s what you have been asking for.“ (10:11); The parents could not worship without their children, so they did not accept the king’s deceitful method.

4)    “Go, worship the Lord. Even your women and children may go with you; only leave your flocks and herds behind.” (10:24). Moses was not satisfied to leave only with the families, so he did not leave his properties and possessions in Egypt. “Not a hoof will be left behind in Egypt,” Moses said.

We begin our prayer by thanking the Lord for understanding the plans of the enemy. We then continue our prayer, asking for wisdom and discernment to distinguish between what is clean and what is unclean.
