Marți, 30 aprilie 2024 – Psalm 3

Cu excepția psalmilor 10 și 33, Psalmii din Cartea întâi, 1-41, au legătură cu regele David. Psalmul 3 a fost numit ,,rugăciunea de dimineață” și este strâns înrudit cu Psalmul 4, care poate fi privit ca o continuare a Psalmului 3.

Psalmul 3 este primul psalm cu un titlu istoric (2 Sam. 15-19), făcut de David cu prilejul fugii de fiul sau Absalom.

Psalmul 3 are trei strofe: 1.Încercarea (vers. 1-2); 2.Încrederea (vers. 3-6); 3.Biruința (vers. 7-8)

1. Încercarea lui David (v. 1-2) – Tânguirea lui David (prezentarea problemei):  vers. 1: ,,Mulți vrăjmăși împotriva mea” = OAMENI;  vers. 2: ,,Mulți zic că nu mai am scăpare” = VORBE
2. Încrederea lui David (v. 3-4) – Îmbărbătarea lui David prin credință – manifestarea încrederii în Dumnezeu. David se gândește la problema în care se găsește în mintea lui, își amintește de ajutorul lui Dumnezeu și alege să se încreadă în El și în această  problemă.
3. Rugăciunea lui David (v. 7-8) – Rugăciunea lui David: încredințarea problemei în mâna lui Dumnezeu (vers. 7). David, după ce s-a încrezut în Dumnezeu în inima lui, începe să se roage lui Dumnezeu, bazându-se pe deplin pe suveranitatea Lui (vers. 7): ,,Scapă-mă, Doamne, pentru că Tu ești împotriva celor răi.”

Să ne rugăm Domnului să ne scape așa cum l-a scăpat și pe David.

With exception of Psalms 10 and 33, the Psalms from Book One, 1-41, are linked to King David. Psalm 3 is known as the “morning prayer” and is closely related to Psalm 4, which can be seen as a continuation of Psalm 3.

Psalm 3 is the first Psalm with a historical title (2 Sam. 15-19), written by David during his escape from his son Absalom.

Psalm three has three stanzas: 1. The Trial (verses 1-2);  2. The Trust (verses 3-6);  3. The Victory (verses 7-8)

1. David’s Trial (v. 1-2) – David’s Lament (presentation of the problem): verse 1: “how many are my foes!” = PEOPLE; verse 2: “How many rise up against me!” = WORDS
2. David’s Trust (v. 3-4) – David’s encouragement through faith – manifestation of trust in God. David thinks about the problem he is facing, remembers God’s help, and chooses to trust in Him with his problem.
3. David’s Prayer (v. 7-8) – David’s Prayer: entrusting the problem into God’s hands (verse 7). David, after placing his trust in God in his heart, begins to pray to God, fully relying on His sovereignty (verse 7): “Arise, Lord! Deliver me God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw.”

Let us pray to the Lord to deliver us as He also delivered David.
