Duminică, 23 martie 2025, Ezechiel 2:1-10

În capitolul doi, Dumnezeu i S-a descoperit lui Ezechiel și l-a trimis să profețească poporului evreu care trăia în păcat, deși deseori fusese pedepsit. Cele mai întâlnite păcate ale evreilor au fost idolatria, neascultarea, răzvrătirea împotriva lui Dumnezeu, nedreptățile sociale, necredința, profanarea Templului… Din cauza acestui stil de viață păcătos, Dumnezeu i-a pedepsit prin robia babiloniană.

Cartea poate fi împărțită în câteva secțiuni:

1.     Chemarea lui Ezechiel la slujba de profet: „El mi-a zis: ‚Fiul omului, te trimit la copiii lui Israel, la aceste popoare îndărătnice, care s-au răzvrătit împotriva Mea; ei și părinții lor au păcătuit împotriva Mea până în ziua de azi.” (vers. 3)

2.     Trimiterea profetului la poporul evreu răzvrătit: „Da, copiii aceștia la care te trimit sunt nerușinați și cu inima împietrită…” (vers. 4)

3.     Încurajarea lui Ezechiel în slujirea lui: „Tu, fiu al omului, să nu te temi de ei, nici să nu te sperii de cuvintele lor și, măcar că ei sunt niște mărăcini și spini lângă tine și măcar că locuiești împreună cu niște scorpii, totuși nu te teme de cuvintele lor și nu te înspăimânta de fețele lor, căci sunt o casă de îndărătnici.” (vers. 6)

4.     Responsabilitatea slujirii profetului, indiferent de reacția ascultătorilor săi: „Fie că vor asculta, fie că nu vor asculta – căci sunt o casă de îndărătnici – vor ști totuși că în mijlocul lor este un proroc.” (vers. 5)

5.     Sulul de carte pe care profetul a trebuit să-l mănânce, ca un simbol al acceptării și împlinirii misiunii lui ca profet: „M-am uitat și iată că o mână era întinsă spre mine și ținea o carte în chip de sul desfășurat-o înaintea mea și era scrisă și pe dinăuntru, și pe dinafară; în ea erau scrise bocete, plângeri și gemete.” (vers. 9-10)

Este uimitoare investiția lui Dumnezeu în purtarea de grijă și restaurarea poporului evreu! Este o risipă de iubire, milă, bunătate și iertare! Este greu de înțeles cum poate fi Dumnezeu atât de bun și răbdător, oferind la nesfârșit șansa de căință poporului Său de legământ.

Să ne construim o mentalitate despre Dumnezeu din Scriptură, nu din simțămintele noastre despre El. Cu această mentalitate vom rămâne în picioare indiferent pe unde Dumnezeu va îngădui să trecem în călătoria vieții. El este Marele Biruitor! El este Biruința noastră!

Să ne rugăm cu încredere, să trăim cu bucurie și să slujim cu onoare!

Sunday, March 23, 2025 – Ezekiel 2:1–10

In chapter two, God revealed Himself to Ezekiel and sent him to prophesy to the Jewish people who were living in sin, even though they had often been punished. The most common sins of the Israelites were idolatry, disobedience, rebellion against God, social injustice, unbelief, and the profaning of the Temple… Because of this sinful lifestyle, God punished them through the Babylonian captivity.

The book can be divided into several sections:

1. Ezekiel’s calling to the office of prophet: “He said to me, ‘Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have been in revolt against me to this very day.’” (v. 3)
2. The sending of the prophet to the rebellious Jewish people: “The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn…” (v. 4)
3. God’s encouragement to Ezekiel in his service: “And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.” (v. 6)
4. The responsibility of the prophet’s ministry, regardless of his listeners’ response: “And whether they listen or fail to listen—for they are a rebellious people—they will know that a prophet has been among them.” (v. 5)
5. The scroll the prophet had to eat, as a symbol of accepting and fulfilling his prophetic mission: “Then I looked, and I saw a hand stretched out to me. In it was a scroll, which he unrolled before me. On both sides of it were written words of lament and mourning and woe.” (vv. 9–10)

God’s investment in caring for and restoring the Jewish people is astonishing! It is an outpouring of love, mercy, kindness, and forgiveness! It’s hard to grasp how God can be so good and patient, continually offering His covenant people a chance to repent.

Let’s shape our mindset about God from Scripture, not from our feelings about Him. With this mindset, we will stand firm no matter where God allows us to go in life’s journey. He is the Great Conqueror! He is our Victory!

Let us pray with confidence, live with joy, and serve with honor!
