Duminică, 20 aprilie 2025, Ezechiel 30:1-26

Capitolul 30 din cartea Ezechiel conține o profeție despre judecata Egiptului și a aliaților săi: Etiopia, Put, Lud și toată Arabia. De asemenea, acest capitol reafirmă suveranitatea lui Dumnezeu, făcând apel la smerenie, pocăință și încredere în Dumnezeul Creator.

Mesajul acestui capitol poate fi împărțit în câte secțiuni:

1.     Ziua Domnului și judecata asupra Egiptului (vers. 1-9) „Sabia va pătrunde în Egipt și în Etiopia va fi groază când vor cădea morții în Egipt, când i se vor ridica bogățiile și i se vor răsturna temeliile.” (vers. 4) Ziua Domnului este descrisă ca o zi de nenorocire și judecată, iar Egiptul și aliații lui vor fi loviți de sabia lui Nebucadnețar.

2.     Distrugerea Egiptului (vers. 10-19) „Așa vorbește Domnul Dumnezeu: «Voi pierde mulțimea Egiptului prin mâna lui Nebucadnețar, împăratul Babilonului. El și poporul lui cu el, cel mai grozav dintre popoare, vor fi trimiși să nimicească țara.»” (vers. 10-11) Nebucadnețar a fost folosit de Dumnezeu să cucerească Egiptul și să distrugă orașe importante precum Nof, Sin, No și Tahpanes.

3.     Frângerea puterii Egiptului (vers. 20-26) „Fiul omului, am frânt brațul lui Faraon, împăratul Egiptului, și iată că nu-i vor lega rana ca să se vindece, nu-l vor obloji cu legături, nu-l vor lega ca să se întremeze și să poată mânui sabia.” (vers. 21)

Dumnezeu controlează istoria și judecata Sa vine asupra celor care se încred în puterea proprie. Egiptul s-a considerat invincibil, dar Dumnezeu i-a frânt puterea.

Să ne rugăm Domnului pentru a sta departe de mândrie și idolatrie.

Sunday, April 20, 2025 – Ezekiel 30:1-26

Chapter 30 of the book of Ezekiel contains a prophecy about the judgment of Egypt and its allies: Cush, Put, Lud, and all Arabia. This chapter also reaffirms the sovereignty of God, calling for humility, repentance, and trust in God the Creator.

The message of this chapter can be divided into the following sections:

1. The Day of the Lord and Judgment on Egypt (vv. 1–9)
   “The sword will come against Egypt, and anguish will come upon Cush. When the slain fall in Egypt, her wealth will be carried away and her foundations torn down.” (v. 4)
   The Day of the Lord is described as a day of disaster and judgment. Egypt and its allies would be struck by Nebuchadnezzar's sword.
2. The Destruction of Egypt (vv. 10–19)
   “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: 'I will put an end to the hordes of Egypt by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. He and his army—the most ruthless of nations—will be brought in to destroy the land.'” (vv. 10–11)
   Nebuchadnezzar was used by God to conquer Egypt and destroy important cities such as Memphis, Sin, Thebes, and Tahpanhes.
3. The Breaking of Egypt’s Power (vv. 20–26)
   “Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. It has not been bound up to be healed or put in a splint so that it may become strong enough to hold a sword.” (v. 21)

God controls history, and His judgment comes upon those who trust in their own strength. Egypt saw itself as invincible, but God broke its power.

Let us pray to the Lord to keep us far from pride and idolatry.
