Sâmbătă, 18 martie 2023, Exodul 24:1-18 – Confirmarea Legământului

Legământul dat de Dumnezeu era ratificat de popor prin asumarea voluntară și conștientă a împlinirii legilor și poruncilor lui Dumnezeu. ,,Tot poporul a răspuns: ,,Vom face tot ce a zis Domnul” (Exod 19:8). Cortul Întâlnirii și, mai târziu, Templul, erau importante pentru existența națională a Israelului deoarece simbolizau locuirea lui Dumnezeu în mijlocul lor (25:8). Moise a fost chemat pe munte, înaintea lui Dumnezeu, pentru a primi Tablele de Piatră și Legea. Conducerea poporului a fost delegată temporar lui Aaron și Hur. Moise, împreună cu Iosua, au urcat pe muntele lui Dumnezeu. Iosua, menționat pentru prima dată în 17:9, începe să ocupe un loc tot mai vizibil în lucrarea lui Dumnezeu. În timpul celor 40 de zile cât a stat pe munte, Moise nu a mâncat și nu a băut nimic. Dumnezeu i-a dat instrucțiuni lui Moise cum să construiască Cortul Întâlnirii și i-a descris materialele din care trebuia construit. Porunca lui Dumnezeu era ca fiecare israelit să aducă un dar voluntar. Materialele care urmau să fie folosite pentru construcția Cortului Întâlnirii trebuiau să fie din aur, argint și aramă. Tot ce este pentru Dumnezeu trebuie să fie tot ce este mai valoros.

Mulțumim lui Dumnezeu pentru Legământul pe care l-a făcut cu oamenii. Apoi, Îl vom ruga pe Dumnezeu să ne dea ,,tragere de inimă” pentru împlinirea lucrărilor care Îl proslăvesc pe El și lărgesc Împărăția cerurilor.

Saturday, March 18, 2023: Exodus 24:1-18 – The Validation of the Covenant

The covenant given by God was ratified by the people through voluntary and conscious commitment to fulfilling God’s laws and commands. “All the people answered together, ‘We will do everything the Lord has said'” (Exodus 19:8). The Tabernacle and later the Temple were important for the national existence of Israel because they symbolized God’s dwelling among them (25:8). Moses was called up to the mountain before God to receive the Tablets of Stone and the Law. The leadership of the people was temporarily delegated to Aaron and Hur. Moses, along with Joshua, went up the mountain of God. Joshua, mentioned for the first time in 17:9, begins to occupy an increasingly prominent place in God’s work. During the 40 days Moses spent on the mountain, he neither ate nor drank anything. God instructed Moses on how to build the Tabernacle and described the materials from which it was to be built. God’s command was for each Israelite to bring a voluntary gift. The materials that were to be used for the construction of the Tabernacle were to be made of gold, silver, and bronze. Everything for God must be the most valuable.

Today, we thank God for the covenant He made with humanity. Then, we will ask God to give us a heart for the fulfillment of works that glorify Him and expand the Kingdom of Heaven.
