Duminică, 14 mai 2023, Numeri 15:1-41 – Repetarea poruncilor Legământului

Pentru că generația veche a fost condamnată să moară în pustie, a devenit necesar ca generația tânără să înțeleagă sistemul sacrificial israelit. Jertfele de mâncare și de băutură se constituie în arderea de tot sau de bună voie. Ele nu puteau fi aduse ca jertfe pentru vină sau jertfe de ispășire.

Al doilea set de reguli se referă la darurile din primele roade ale recoltei. A treia categorie de porunci se referă la jertfele pentru păcat. Diferența dintre aceste reguli și cele referitoare la jertfele de ispășire din Leviticul 4:13-21 este că textul din Levitic se referă la păcatele de comitere, iar în locul de față este vorba despre păcatele de omitere.

Ultima poruncă se referă la cazul unui păcat intenționat, comis cu bună știință. Un astfel de păcat este considerat o blasfemie pentru că este considerat un act arogant de nesupunere.

Pentru a-și aduce aminte de poruncile Domnului, copiii lui Israel erau obligați să poarte un ciucure la colțul veșmintelor și un fir albastru prins de fiecare ciucure. Acești ciucuri erau mijloace vizuale pentru a-i ajuta să-și aducă aminte de poruncile Domnului.

Mulțumim lui Dumnezeu pentru că a instituit jertfele justificatoare, instaurând în felul acesta posibilitatea legală de a transfera păcatul de pe vinovat pe jertfa de ispășire. Apoi, continuând rugăciunea, vom cere putere să ne sfințim viața în mod deplin.

Sunday, May 14, 2023: Numbers 15:1-41 – The Repetition of the Laws of the Covenant

Because the old generation was condemned to die in the wilderness, it became necessary for the younger generation to understand the Israelite sacrificial system. The food and drink offerings could be brought as a burnt offering or a voluntary offering. They could not be brought as a guilt offering or offerings for atonement.

The second set of rules pertains to the gifts of the first fruits of the harvest. The third category of commandments relates to sin offerings. The difference between these rules and those regarding sin offerings in Leviticus 4:13-21 is that the text in Leviticus pertains to sins of commission, while here it is about sins of omission.

The last commandment relates to the case of a sin committed with full intention and knowledge. Such a sin is considered blasphemy because it is regarded as an arrogant act of disobedience.

To remember the commandments of the Lord, the children of Israel were required to wear a tassel on the corner of their garments and a blue cord attached to each tassel. These tassels were visual aids to help them remember the commandments of the Lord.

We thank God for instituting justifying sacrifices, thereby establishing the legal possibility of transferring sin from the guilty party to the atoning sacrifice. Then, continuing the prayer, we will ask for the power to sanctify our lives fully.
